Turn off suggestions for a specific app
- Open Settings.
- Tap Siri or Apple Intelligence & Siri. The label depends on your iPhone’s software configuration.
- Tap Apps, then choose the app whose suggestions you want to change.
- Turn off the suggestion controls you do not want. Depending on your iOS version and the app, options may include Show in App, Show on Home Screen, Suggest App, or Suggestion Notifications.
This per-app approach lets you remove recommendations associated with one app without necessarily disabling suggestions everywhere. Apple says Siri Suggestions are enabled by default for apps and that you can change their settings at any time. Apple’s guide to turning Siri Suggestions on or off describes the app controls.

Control suggestions across iPhone surfaces
In the Siri settings area, turn off the controls for the places where you do not want recommendations. Depending on your device and configuration, these may cover the Home Screen, app suggestions, notifications, Search, App Library, sharing, or listening suggestions. Use the options actually shown on your iPhone; the labels and available choices vary by software version and app.

Stop location-based Spotlight suggestions
If the recommendations you want to remove are location-based suggestions in Spotlight, change Location Services separately:
- Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
- Tap System Services.
- Turn off Suggestions & Search.
This switch addresses location-based Spotlight suggestions; it is distinct from the app and system-surface controls in Siri settings. Apple documents it in its Spotlight search guide.

Keep Siri voice activation while removing suggestions
Siri Suggestions are predictive recommendations and actions, not the same thing as voice activation. You can adjust suggestion settings without necessarily disabling Siri itself. If you also want to stop activating Siri by voice, change that separately in Siri settings. Apple documents suggestion controls and Siri activation controls as separate settings in its Siri settings guide.
