Run the installation wizard
HD Decoder
- Connect the dish cable to the decoder’s LNB IN connection, following the instructions for your model.
- Connect the decoder to your television using HDMI, as described on DStv’s HD Decoder page.
- After the decoder is correctly connected to the satellite dish, run the installation wizard and follow the on-screen prompts. DStv’s product page gives this order but does not establish one universal sequence of screens for every model.
Explora
The Explora Quick Guide documents an Installation Wizard for first-time setup. Follow that guide for your Explora model and consider using a DStv Accredited Installer, as DStv recommends. If setup does not go as expected
- Check the connections against the model’s instructions. In particular, confirm that the dish cable is connected to LNB IN and that the television connection matches the decoder’s supported ports.
