Samsung Browser for Windows is a separate, versioned release with its own settings and cross-device requirements, so the steps and availability are not identical across platforms.
How do I customize Samsung Internet settings?
On Android, use Tools > Settings > Layout and menus > Customize menus to choose toolbar features and arrange them. Samsung says you can add up to seven features. The exact labels and layout may differ by browser version. The same Samsung page describes moving the menu and URL bar and dragging menu items to change their order: Samsung Internet features and settings.

For quick access to favorite sites, set up Quick access, which Samsung describes as shortcuts shown when the browser opens. A few press-and-hold gestures can also speed up common tasks:

- Touch and hold Home to show the address bar and Quick access.
- Touch and hold Tab to open a new tab.
- Touch and hold the Back arrow to view browsing history.
- Touch and hold Bookmarks to bookmark the current page.
How do I turn on Video assistant?
- On Android, open Tools > Settings > Useful features.
- Turn on Video assistant.
- Open a video on a supported webpage and tap the Video assistant icon that appears.
Samsung describes controls for full-screen or pop-up viewing, including touch gestures for brightness and volume. You can resize and move the pop-up player. Pop-up playback is not available on some restricted webpages, and the option may not appear on every video page.

Which privacy controls do what?
Samsung Internet offers several controls that address different parts of browsing privacy. They do not make browsing anonymous or prevent every form of tracking.
- Smart Anti-Tracking: A built-in Android feature intended to limit tracking. Samsung distinguishes this from ad blocking.
- Ad blocking: On Android, Samsung says you need to install a compatible third-party content-blocking app; anti-tracking alone is not an ad blocker.
- Secret Mode: Samsung says cookies and browsing history are deleted after all Secret Mode tabs are closed. This does not mean websites, network providers, or other systems cannot observe activity while it occurs.
- Other controls: Samsung lists a Privacy Dashboard and biometric web sign-in among its privacy features. Availability and exact controls can vary by version.

What Samsung Internet AI features are available?
Samsung lists Ask AI, Summarize, Translate, and Read Highlight Aloud. Availability depends on factors including country or region, device, carrier, operating-system or One UI version, and language. Some functions require an internet connection and Samsung Account sign-in; paid or restricted pages may have limited functionality. Read Highlight Aloud is an Android feature. Samsung cautions that AI results are not guaranteed to be accurate, so verify important details against the original page.

What happens to a webpage when I use Summarize?
For Android Summarize, Samsung Developer says webpage content is sent to a cloud server for processing and is not stored by Samsung. The feature requires an AI-enabled device and Samsung Account sign-in. Samsung lists several page cases it will not summarize, including pages shorter than 200 characters, pages marked as paid with isAccessibleForFree=False, and pages carrying a noindex meta tag. Can I continue browsing between my phone and Windows PC?
Samsung announced Samsung Browser for Windows on March 30, 2026. The announcement lists Windows 11 and Windows 10 version 1809 or later as supported. For its recently visited webpage continuity feature, Samsung specifies that both devices use the same Samsung Account, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled, and Continue apps on other devices is turned on. The PC also needs Samsung Continuity Service or Galaxy Connect. Samsung identified Galaxy Book 3, 4, 5, and 6 series as supported in that announcement; compatibility and requirements may change. Samsung’s Windows release notes dated September 17, 2026 list version 31.0.0.55. They also record version-specific settings added earlier in 2026, including options to avoid keeping URL-bar or search-bar history and to set multiple startup pages. These Windows settings should not be assumed to exist under the same names or in the same places on Android. Check the Samsung Browser for Windows release notes for later changes.
