Change who can use your GPT

Open the GPT in the editor and select Share.

Check its current sharing level and permission. OpenAI lists options that can include invite-only, a workspace link, workspace-wide access, a public link, or the GPT Store; which options appear depends on your account and workspace. See OpenAI’s Sharing and publishing GPTs guidance.

Choose the narrower sharing level or permission you want, then select Save to apply the change.

This controls who can open or use the GPT. It is separate from access the GPT may have to an external service through a connected app account or an OAuth action.

Disconnect an app or account used by the GPT
To review connected accounts, open ChatGPT Settings and look for the connected-app or account-management area. OpenAI’s instructions describe Settings > Plugins, where you can select an app or connected account and review or disconnect it. Labels and placement can vary by surface and rollout; use the account-management controls shown in your settings. See Connecting and managing app accounts in ChatGPT.
OpenAI states that app permission settings affect when ChatGPT asks before reading data or taking an action; they do not themselves grant new access. To remove an app’s access, disconnect it or ask your workspace administrator to disable it. See Connected apps in ChatGPT.

Check OAuth actions separately
A GPT action is an API integration, which may use OAuth or an API key for authentication. If the GPT uses OAuth, review and manage the connected account associated with that action; changing the GPT’s sharing settings alone does not remove the provider authorization. An administrator’s action-domain allowlist can restrict whether an action executes, but that restriction is distinct from revoking the user’s authorization with the provider. OpenAI explains the setup in Configuring actions in GPTs.

When workspace settings block a change
In Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces, sharing and publishing depend on workspace settings and user permissions. Enterprise and Edu administrators can govern who may create or edit GPTs, limit sharing scope, and control access to third-party GPTs. If a sharing option is missing or your change cannot be saved, ask the workspace administrator to check the policy. Admin controls for these plans are described in Managing GPT access in Enterprise and Edu workspaces.

Workspace administrators may also control app availability or action execution. Blocking an app or action at workspace level does not necessarily remove a separate authorization already granted to an external provider; disconnect the account as well when your goal is to revoke that authorization.

Apps and GPT actions are distinct integration types. OpenAI says a GPT can use apps or actions, but not both at the same time. Identify which type the GPT uses before looking for an account connection or asking an administrator to change workspace controls. See GPTs in ChatGPT.
