Choose Visible part of page for the current viewport or Entire page for a full-page capture. The capture mode controls what Nimbus includes; the reviewed Nimbus help pages do not document a universal setting that converts any website to dark colors.
Set the website to dark mode before capturing

Open the website or web app you want to capture. Use its own theme switch or appearance settings to enable dark mode, if available.

Wait until the page has visibly changed. Check content below the fold too, especially if the site loads sections or images as you scroll; Nimbus’s capture guide does not guarantee when a site’s lazy-loaded content will appear.

The recommendation to enable and verify dark mode before capturing follows from Nimbus documenting capture scopes, not a documented Nimbus feature that applies a dark filter to arbitrary sites.

If the website has no dark theme
Nimbus’s reviewed capture and settings documentation does not establish that the extension can force an arbitrary site into dark mode. A browser-level dark theme or a page-specific method might help, but the Nimbus documentation cited here does not provide browser-specific instructions for doing that. Check the controls in your installed extension if they differ from the help pages.
Do not confuse this with Nimbus Note’s own dark appearance setting: its instructions are for the Nimbus Note web client, not a general Screenshot extension filter. See Nimbus Note’s dark theme guide for that separate setting.

Useful settings and limitations
Nimbus’s reviewed browser-settings guide covers options including image format, filename, hiding fixed elements, and quick screenshot controls. It does not list a universal page-darkening option. The exact interface may have changed since the help documentation was published, so menu labels in your installed extension may differ. See Nimbus’s browser settings guide.
