In Zapier, choose an API or webhook action that lets you set the method, URL, headers, and JSON body. Use the exact field names and authentication method above, then inspect the test result and HTTP status. Do not treat an error response as a PDF.
Make sure Zapier can pass the PDF to storage
The conversion response is the key integration constraint. A webhook request that successfully calls Html2Pdf.app does not, by itself, prove that the PDF can be mapped into a storage step. Zapier says file fields need a file object or a supported file URL, and its Webhooks Custom Request does not support file objects. Confirm that your selected API action exposes a usable file, or insert an intermediary that accepts the binary response and returns a file URL Zapier and your destination can access.

Check the path end to end with a small representative page: confirm the conversion status, inspect whether the result is recognized as a PDF file or usable URL, map it into the destination’s file field, and verify the saved file opens. Zapier’s reviewed webhook help article states a 5 MB payload limit for that webhook action. Do not assume a large PDF can be relayed through it; confirm limits for the specific action, intermediary, and destination.
Choose synchronous conversion or an asynchronous callback

Protect credentials and account for page behavior
- Keep the API key private. Use a trusted backend or a Zapier credential mechanism with suitable access controls. Do not put the key in browser JavaScript, public repositories, or client-side templates. Zapier’s API-by-Zapier documentation describes credential storage in a connection; generic webhook fields may be visible to people who can access the Zap.
- Check page accessibility. Html2Pdf.app must be able to access the source URL and the assets needed to render it. Pages requiring an authenticated browser session or inaccessible resources may not produce the expected output.
- Review rendering settings and timing. CSS media mode, available fonts and resources, and JavaScript load timing can change the PDF. Test representative pages rather than assuming one configuration works for every site.
- Consider data handling. Html2Pdf.app says generated PDFs are processed temporarily rather than permanently stored on its servers; it also says raw HTML/text is not stored in conversion logs, while selected metadata and a source URL may be retained. Review its documentation and privacy policy or data processing agreement against your requirements.
