Where to find Manage subscriptions in Gmail
The view is available on the web and in the Gmail mobile app. Google says it is rolling out to personal Google accounts, Workspace Individual subscribers, and Google Workspace customers, but its Help page cautions that it may not yet appear for every user.

On a computer
- Open Gmail.
- In the left navigation, select More.
- Select Manage subscriptions.
- Find the sender and select Unsubscribe.
In the Gmail app on Android or iPhone/iPad
- Open the Gmail app.
- Tap the menu at the top left.
- Tap Manage subscriptions.
- Find the sender and tap Unsubscribe.
Google says the view sorts active senders by message frequency and shows how many messages each has sent in recent weeks, which can help prioritize high-volume sources. The feature was announced July 8, 2025, with gradual rollouts across web, Android, and iOS; the announcement’s rollout dates do not guarantee availability for every account now. Unsubscribing from a sender in this view removes you from all active mailing lists related to that sender, according to Gmail Help. That makes it broader than the unsubscribe control on an individual message, which may remove you from only one list. Google explains the single-message option in its email unsubscribe instructions.

Some senders may direct you to their website to finish unsubscribing. Even when you complete the request, allow a few days for the sender to process it; messages can arrive in the meantime.
Unsubscribe, block, and Spam are different

Google says new messages from a sender you unsubscribed from through Manage subscriptions go to Spam, where Gmail shows a banner explaining why. If you want those messages back in your inbox, select Report not spam on the message.
Why Manage subscriptions may be missing
The feature may not have reached your account yet. Google announced staged availability starting in July 2025, with separate starts for web and Android Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains and for iOS. Those were rollout starts, not a promise that every user would see the feature by a particular date. Google’s Help page continues to note that availability can vary. The Workspace announcement also says administrators have no control to enable or disable the feature.

Why Google added the view
In a July 8, 2025 post, Chris Doan, Director, Gmail, described how daily deal alerts, newsletters, and retailer promotions can pile up. Google says its view is intended to make active subscriptions easier to review and manage. In the same 2025 blog post, Google said Gmail blocks more than 99.9% of spam, phishing, and malware, and that recently rolled-out AI-based defenses cut scam emails by 35%.
