To capture content below the visible screen with FireShot, open its toolbar button or another available FireShot menu and choose Capture entire Page. Do not choose Capture visible Area: that mode captures only what is currently on screen. FireShot’s official guide says entire-page capture includes parts of a webpage that require scrolling to see. FireShot’s capture instructions
Capture the whole page with FireShot
- Open the webpage and wait for the content you need to appear. If the page loads content as you scroll, scroll through the relevant sections first and make sure they have loaded.
- Open FireShot using its browser toolbar button. If that button is not available, look for another FireShot entry point in the browser menu or page context menu; availability can depend on your installation. FireShot’s guide describes these entry points.
- Select Capture entire Page or the equivalent entire-webpage command. This is the mode for content below the viewport.
- Review the resulting capture. If FireShot opens its editor, choose an available save or export action in your installed edition. The cited guide describes the default capture-and-edit flow, but does not establish current output formats for every edition.
- Inspect the bottom of the capture and any sections that scroll independently before sharing it.
Choose the capture mode that matches the content
| Mode | What it captures | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Capture visible Area | The portion currently visible in the browser window. | You need only the current screen, not content further down the page. |
| Capture entire Page | The webpage beyond the current viewport, including content reached by scrolling. | You need a capture of the full page’s main document. |
| Selection | A region you select on the page; FireShot’s guidance says selection can scroll automatically when it reaches a page boundary. | You need a subsection rather than the whole document, or want to target a scrollable element. |
FireShot’s selection-mode guide describes selecting a region and an individual scrollable element. Check the result: a panel embedded in a page is not necessarily captured like the page’s main scroll.

Check nested and horizontally scrolling content
“Entire page” refers to the webpage’s main document, and it may not reveal every item inside an embedded panel. For example, a FireShot support-forum report describes a horizontally scrolling table whose off-screen columns were omitted by an ordinary entire-page capture. This is one user report, not a guarantee about every page or capture.
- For a table or panel with its own scrollbars, scroll it horizontally or vertically and check whether the missing content appears in the output.
- If you only need a specific region, try Selection mode and, where available, identify the scrollable element.
- If the capture still omits content, capture the relevant views separately or use another method suited to that page’s layout.
Do not assume that capturing the main page from top to bottom also captures every off-screen area inside nested scroll containers.

If you need a screenshot through an API rather than a browser extension, ScreenshotNeo accepts a URL in one request and returns an image or PDF. Its clean-capture steps accept cookie or consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads and cache hits are not billed, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. An MCP server provides screenshot and PDF tools for AI agents.

Troubleshooting a scrolling-page capture
- The capture stops at the current screen: Choose Capture entire Page, not Capture visible Area.
- You cannot find FireShot’s toolbar button: Check the browser’s available FireShot menu or page context-menu entry. The exact entry point depends on what is available in your installation.
- Images or sections are missing near the bottom: Wait for the content to load, scroll through lazy-loaded sections, then capture and inspect the output.
- Columns or items inside a panel are missing: The panel may have its own scroll position. Scroll it or try selecting the scrollable element; a full-page capture of the main document may not include its off-screen contents.
- You are unsure what file format or export choices are available: Check the save and export options in the editor for your installed edition. The cited guide does not establish current format availability across editions.
