Open Clockify’s Edge time-tracking page and follow its link to Clockify Time Tracker in the Chrome Store. Clockify directs Edge users to install the Chrome extension; this is not a separate Edge-specific extension.

After installation, open the extension from Edge’s extensions area and log in. Clockify says sign-in continues through a web page.

Start and organize a timer

Open Clockify Time Tracker and enter a short description of the work.

Start the timer. Add a project, task, tag, or billability status when you need those details for your records.

To continue tracking a previous activity, select its existing entry in the extension. Clockify also describes starting a timer from selected text: select the text, open the right-click menu, and choose the Clockify option.

Clockify’s extension page lists Ctrl+Shift+U as a shortcut to start or stop the timer. Keyboard shortcuts can depend on your browser and setup, so use the extension’s visible controls if that combination does not work.

Use timers inside supported web apps
Clockify can place timer controls in supported productivity tools, so you can start tracking without switching to the extension itself. Its pages name Trello, Jira, Gmail, Google Calendar, GitHub, Asana, and Todoist among the supported apps. The integration list can change; check Clockify’s current integrations page to see whether your specific app is included.
Choose a timer or enter time later
A running timer is useful when you want to record work as it happens. If you forgot to track an activity, Clockify describes manual time entry as an option. Its broader time-tracking service also supports editing entries and organizing time by project, task, and tag; not every service feature is exclusive to the Edge extension. Its Edge page also describes web-based features such as editing past entries, analyzing time, managing projects, inviting people, reviewing timesheets, and exporting reports.
