Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →You can loop a prerecorded video on YouTube Live from an Indian cloud VM by creating an encoder stream in YouTube Studio, running FFmpeg on the VM at real-time speed, and checking YouTube’s preview and stream health before you go live. The VM needs enough sustained outbound bandwidth for your chosen stream bitrate; if FFmpeg encodes on the CPU, it also needs enough processing headroom.
Before you start: channel access, rights and infrastructure
Confirm the channel can livestream
YouTube’s eligibility guidance says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. Check the channel in YouTube Studio before setting up the VM: a cloud server does not bypass channel eligibility or restrictions. YouTube also applies age and policy requirements; review its live-streaming eligibility guidance.
Use content you have the rights to stream
Only stream video and audio for which you have the necessary rights, including relevant music rights for live and archived content. YouTube’s live-content terms require compliance with applicable law and Community Guidelines, and state: “The Live Content must comply with the YouTube Community Guidelines.” See YouTube’s terms.
Choose a VM based on sustained streaming needs
The VM provider and plan are a separate infrastructure decision; there is no provider or current India-region plan comparison established here. Before paying, verify that the provider offers an India region, check sustained outbound bandwidth and transfer limits, and calculate egress charges for continuous streaming at your intended bitrate. If you will encode in software, confirm CPU capacity as well. Compare support, service terms and total cost, and check the provider’s current plan details directly.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
For a continuously running stream, estimate transfer from the bitrate and duration: a higher bitrate sends more data over the same period. Do not rely on a plan’s headline network speed alone; check its sustained-use and billing terms.
Create the YouTube encoder stream
-
Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live to open Live Control Room. Create a new stream or schedule one, as appropriate for your channel.
-
In the stream settings, copy the stream URL and stream key. The key identifies which encoder feed YouTube should accept. Treat it like a password: do not include it in public scripts, screenshots or repositories. Reset it in YouTube Studio if it is exposed.
-
Keep Live Control Room open. You will use the URL and key in FFmpeg, then wait for YouTube’s preview and stream-health status before starting the public broadcast. YouTube’s encoder setup instructions describe the stream URL and key workflow.

Install FFmpeg and prepare the video on the VM
Install FFmpeg using the package manager or installation method supported by your VM’s operating system, then upload the source video to the server. The exact installation command depends on the operating system and its repositories, so confirm the package name and available FFmpeg build for your image.
Check the source file before streaming: confirm it has the video and audio you intend to broadcast, note its resolution and frame rate, and confirm the audio does not end substantially before the video. There is no single FFmpeg command that handles every codec, file layout or loop seam identically. You may need to adapt the input and output options to your file and YouTube ingest settings.
Loop the file and send it to YouTube with FFmpeg
FFmpeg documents the loop video filter with loop=-1 for infinite looping, and its -re input option reads at the input’s native frame rate. Reading in real time is useful when packet timing matters for a live output. The following is a starting pattern, not a universal command: the video loop filter does not by itself guarantee that audio loops in sync or that every source is compatible.
ffmpeg -re -i input.mp4 -filter:v "loop=loop=-1:size=32767:start=0" -c:v libx264 -preset veryfast -b:v 4500k -maxrate 4500k -bufsize 9000k -g 60 -keyint_min 60 -sc_threshold 0 -c:a aac -b:a 128k -ar 44100 -f flv "rtmps://YOUR_YOUTUBE_STREAM_URL/YOUR_STREAM_KEY"
Replace input.mp4 with the source path and replace the destination with the RTMPS stream URL and key copied from Live Control Room. Avoid saving a real key in a script that others can read. Restrict access to any file or service configuration that contains it.

This example selects H.264 video, AAC audio and a nominal 60-frame GOP setting; -g 60 corresponds to two seconds only when the output is 30 frames per second. Match keyframe interval to the actual output frame rate, and choose bitrate for your resolution and frame rate using YouTube’s current table. If the source is video-only, audio handling must be adjusted; if the file has an unusual frame rate, audio length or codec, adapt and test rather than assuming the example will fit unchanged.
FFmpeg’s official documentation explains its input/output options and real-time input and the loop filter. These options are documented building blocks, not a claim that the command has been tested with every file or ingest configuration.
Match YouTube’s encoder settings and test the stream
YouTube recommends RTMP or RTMPS for encoder workflows and recommends RTMPS where supported because it encrypts the connection. Its encoder guidance lists H.264, H.265 (HEVC) and AV1 video, AAC or MP3 audio, constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe frequency; do not exceed four seconds. Check the current YouTube encoder settings and bitrate table for the selected resolution and frame rate.
-
Choose resolution, frame rate and bitrate according to the source, your VM’s sustained upload capacity and YouTube’s published recommendations. A bitrate that exceeds the VM’s reliable outbound capacity can cause interruptions even if the video file itself plays smoothly on the server.

-
Start with an unlisted test stream and representative movement and audio. Confirm the Live Control Room preview appears, audio is present and synchronized, and the stream-health panel does not report ongoing problems.
-
Check the loop transition. Look for a visible or audible gap, a sudden change in loudness, or a mismatch when the file restarts. If the transition is unsuitable, edit the source or adjust how video and audio are looped before making the stream public.
-
Once the preview and health indicators are satisfactory, use Live Control Room to start the broadcast if the stream is scheduled to wait for your action. Keep monitoring stream health after it begins.
Keep the VM stream running and recover safely
A VM keeps the encoder separate from your personal computer, but the process still depends on the VM, its network connection, FFmpeg and YouTube ingest. Configure your own process supervision or restart procedure if you need the encoder to relaunch after an application or VM restart. Protect the stream key in that setup. If YouTube drops the feed, inspect Live Control Room and the FFmpeg output, correct the underlying issue, and reconnect with the same stream settings; do not assume that simply restarting the process resolves a bandwidth, codec or key problem.

Troubleshooting common failures
-
No preview in Live Control Room: check that FFmpeg is still running, that the stream URL and key are copied correctly, and that the destination uses the intended RTMP or RTMPS endpoint. Reset the key if it may have been exposed.
-
Unstable stream health or dropped frames: compare the chosen bitrate with the VM’s sustained outbound capacity and provider transfer or fair-use terms. Reduce bitrate or output quality if the available connection cannot sustain it, then retest.
-
Video appears but audio is missing or ends early: inspect the source’s audio stream and duration. The video loop filter alone does not solve mismatched audio; adapt audio handling to the file and verify synchronization in an unlisted test.
-
Loop restarts with a jump, gap or glitch: review the source’s ending and beginning. A filter may repeat frames but cannot make a poor edit seamless; revise the media or use an approach suited to its codecs and streams.

FFmpeg exits or the stream stops after a VM interruption: inspect FFmpeg’s error output and the VM’s status and network. Arrange a restart policy for the encoder process and confirm the VM itself is configured to remain available.
-
YouTube rejects or flags the stream: check channel eligibility, stream settings and content rights. A VM does not remove YouTube’s policy requirements or grant rights to music or video.
Or let it run in the cloud
