AI Website Optimizations is a WordPress performance tool in Hostinger’s dashboard. You find it under AI Troubleshooter, run a speed test, and then choose Optimize performance, which applies settings the tool selects on its own. When it finishes, you can review the results and the list of changes, and the panel offers a revert option if you want to undo them.

Who can use it

Hostinger’s support article for the feature states: “AI Website Optimizations only works on WordPress websites, and it’s currently only available in Web and Cloud hosting plans.” In practice, that means:

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

  • The site must be a WordPress website.
  • The hosting plan must be a Web or Cloud plan. Hostinger’s wording is “currently,” so check the plan name on your account if the tool does not appear.
  • AI Builder websites are not covered by this workflow (see the comparison below).

Step-by-step: running the optimization

  1. In the Hostinger dashboard, go to Websites and select Dashboard beside the WordPress site you want to optimize.
  2. Select AI Troubleshooter.
  3. Choose Run Speed Test and wait for the results. This records the baseline the tool compares against later.
  4. If you want changes applied, select Optimize performance. Hostinger says the tool chooses settings based on the speed test results and applies them automatically.
  5. Wait for the process to finish. Then review the current speed results and the list of changes the tool made.
  6. If you decide the changes are not right for the site, use the revert option in the panel to undo them.

Before you select Optimize performance

Run the speed test first, every time. The baseline is what lets you judge the result afterward, and the optimization is designed to follow from it.

The instructions also mention an option to remove the database for users who only want to optimize the website. Deleting a database is not a routine part of this process. Do not select that option unless you understand what it removes and have a verified backup of the site.

What to expect from the results

Hostinger describes the before-and-after comparison and the reversal control, but does not publish a guaranteed speed gain or a named outcome statistic for this feature. Any improvement depends on the site, its plugins and theme, and its traffic, so judge the result by the speed numbers shown on your own site rather than by any expected percentage.

For an independent check, Hostinger’s AI Builder guidance recommends Google PageSpeed Insights. You can run it on the live page before and after the optimization to confirm the change.

Undoing the changes

The panel provides a revert option, and Hostinger’s instructions present it as the way to undo what the tool applied. Use it from the same AI Troubleshooter screen after the optimization completes. If you are unsure whether a change caused a problem on the site, check the change list and the current speed results before deciding whether to revert.

WordPress AI Troubleshooter versus AI Builder

Hostinger documents two separate products with separate controls. The optimization steps above do not apply to AI Builder sites.

Item WordPress site (AI Website Optimizations) AI Builder website
Where the controls are Websites, then Dashboard for the site, then AI Troubleshooter Builder sidebar or page settings
Eligibility stated by Hostinger WordPress websites on Web and Cloud hosting plans AI Builder sites
Optimization behavior Speed test, then Optimize performance applies selected settings automatically; revert option available Optimized by default, including automatic asset delivery through Cloudflare and optimization of uploaded visuals except GIFs
SEO controls Not part of this workflow Page metadata, URLs, keywords, and search visibility; the AI SEO Assistant can draft SEO titles, descriptions, and keywords
Speed check suggested by Hostinger Not stated for this workflow Google PageSpeed Insights

For AI Builder sites, Hostinger’s guidance is to limit GIF use and unnecessary integrations, since those affect speed.
