Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteTo update the Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D, first check the motherboard’s printed revision and download the BIOS from that exact revision’s GIGABYTE support page. Then use Q-Flash from BIOS Setup/POST, or Q-Flash Plus to flash from the S5 shutdown state. Do not interrupt either method while it is working.
Before you update: check the board revision and the reason
Find the revision printed on the motherboard, then open the matching GIGABYTE support page. The TRX50 AERO D has separate support pages for Rev. 1.0, Rev. 1.1, and Rev. 1.2. Their BIOS files are not interchangeable by assumption: for example, the Rev. 1.0 page uses F-series version names, while the Rev. 1.1 page uses FA-series names. Download only the file listed for your board’s exact revision. GIGABYTE’s Rev. 1.1 BIOS support page is an example, not the correct destination for every board.

Update only when there is a reason, such as a release note addressing a compatibility or security need. GIGABYTE warns that BIOS flashing is potentially risky and recommends not flashing if the current BIOS works without problems. Read the release notes for your revision before downloading.
Rev. 1.1 release listing
On the Rev. 1.1 support page, FA3h is listed as dated July 9, 2026, with notes that it updates AMD SHP-AGESA 1.0.0.1g and improves system security and stability. This release applies to Rev. 1.1 only; check the relevant page for Rev. 1.0 or Rev. 1.2 and verify the listing again when you update.

Choose the update method
| Method | System state | What you need to do differently |
|---|---|---|
| Q-Flash | Enter BIOS Setup or start it during POST | Put the extracted BIOS file on FAT32/16 media; select it in Q-Flash. |
| Q-Flash Plus | S5 shutdown state | Rename the extracted file GIGABYTE.bin; use the dedicated rear USB port and Q-Flash Plus button. |
Both methods need a BIOS file for the exact model and revision, and power must remain uninterrupted during flashing. The procedures below follow GIGABYTE’s TRX50-series Q-Flash instructions; the TRX50 AERO D manual identifies the board’s Q-Flash Plus button and rear port.
Update with Q-Flash from BIOS
- Download the BIOS archive for your exact TRX50 AERO D revision and extract it.
- Copy the extracted BIOS file to a USB drive or supported hard-drive media formatted as FAT32 or FAT16. A generic USB flash drive is sufficient; the cited instructions do not specify a required capacity, brand, or speed.
- Restart the computer. During POST, press End to launch Q-Flash. Alternatively, enter BIOS Setup, choose Q-Flash, or press F8.
- Choose Update BIOS, select the matching BIOS file, and allow the utility to finish reading and flashing it.
- Do not power off or restart the computer, or remove the media, while Q-Flash is reading or flashing the file.
- After the system restarts, enter BIOS Setup, choose Load Optimized Defaults, then select Save & Exit. GIGABYTE recommends reloading defaults after an update so the system can re-detect peripheral devices.
Update with Q-Flash Plus while the system is off
Yes. Q-Flash Plus can update the BIOS with the system in the S5 shutdown state. “Off” does not mean the board is disconnected from power: the power supply remains switched on and the required motherboard power connections remain attached.

- Download and extract the BIOS archive from the support page for your board revision.
- Rename the extracted BIOS file GIGABYTE.bin and copy it to a USB drive formatted as FAT32, FAT16, or FAT12.
- Connect the 12V power connector (either one if the board has two) and the main power connector. Switch on the power supply.
- Insert the USB drive into the dedicated rear Q-Flash Plus USB port, then press the Q-Flash Plus button.
- The board searches for and matches the BIOS file automatically. The QFLED or button flashes during matching and flashing. GIGABYTE says to wait 6–8 minutes; wait until the light stops flashing before removing the drive or changing power.
If the update appears to stall
- Q-Flash Plus light is still flashing: Several minutes of activity can be normal. GIGABYTE specifies a 6–8 minute wait; do not infer failure just because the process is taking time, and do not interrupt it while the light is flashing.
- The file is not found or matched: Recheck that the BIOS came from the support page for the exact board revision. For Q-Flash Plus, confirm the filename is exactly GIGABYTE.bin, the drive uses a supported FAT format, and it is in the dedicated rear port.
- You are unsure whether to flash: Re-read the release notes and confirm they address a need you have. GIGABYTE advises against flashing a problem-free system just to install a newer version.
