Update each app from the store that supplied it: use Google Play Store for Play Store apps and Galaxy Store for Galaxy Store apps. Each store lets you update one app or install all available updates, and each has its own automatic-update setting.
Update apps from Google Play Store

Open Play Store and tap your profile icon in the upper-right corner.

Tap Manage apps & device.

Tap Update all to install the listed updates, or tap See details and then Update beside the app you want to update.

Open Galaxy Store, then tap Menu > Updates.

Tap the update control beside an app to update it individually, or tap Update all to install all listed updates.

Turn automatic app updates on or off
Automatic updates are set separately in each store. Changing the setting in one does not configure the other.
Google Play Store
In Play Store, tap your profile icon, then go to Settings > Network preferences > Auto-update apps. Choose the network behavior you prefer. Depending on your region and store version, choices may include Wi-Fi only or any network; the available options can differ.

Galaxy Store
In Galaxy Store, go to Menu > Settings > Auto update apps, then choose your preference.

Check the correct store. Updates are managed by the store an app came from, so an app may not appear in the other store’s update list.

Check the store account. Samsung says a Google Play account sign-in error can prevent automatic updates.

Allow time for background updates. An update may wait until a suitable time, such as when the device is idle, connected to Wi-Fi, or charging; an update is not guaranteed to install immediately.

Review prompts and restart requests. Some updates request new permissions or require the phone to restart.

Consider whether an update can be removed. Samsung’s regional guidance describes Settings > Apps > [app] > More options > Uninstall updates for some apps. This option is app- and device-dependent, not a universal way to undo an update.

App updates are not phone software updates
These steps update apps through their stores. Updating Android or One UI is a separate process in the device’s software-update settings.
Why your menus may look different
Menu names and screens can vary with the Play Store version, Galaxy model, software version, and market. Samsung also notes that screens and settings may vary by model or country. If a label differs, look for the closest equivalent in that store’s settings or update area.
