How to unlock Syrcus Tower
Start the Crystal Tower Chronicles of a New Era questline and follow its prerequisites to the Syrcus Tower quest in Mor Dhona. The official quest record places the quest giver at X:30.4, Y:12.1 and requires a level 50 Disciple of War or Magic; limited jobs are excluded. A preceding Crystal Tower quest is required. The story continues from Labyrinth of the Ancients, with Unei and Doga helping open the tower.

Entry requirements and party setup
The official duty listing gives these requirements and parameters:
- Level: 50, with level sync applied on entry.
- Average item level: 70.
- Party: three parties of eight, or 24 players total. Each party is listed as one tank, two healers and five DPS.
- Time limit: 120 minutes.
The Lodestone duty record notes that restrictions are lifted when entering with a registered 24-member alliance. See the official Syrcus Tower duty record for the current listing.

Raid route and boss mechanics
The community encounter guide lists the bosses in this order: Scylla, Glasya Labolas, Amon and Xande, with enemy corridors between encounters. In a typical run, groups may defeat bosses quickly enough to skip or barely encounter some mechanics. Use the guidance below to understand what to do if a mechanic appears, rather than assuming every cast will occur.
Scylla: use the elemental orbs
Scylla’s arena mechanics center on colored orbs and pillars. Lightning orbs charge the arena pillars; charged pillars are needed to handle Daybreak. Ice orbs freeze players and leave water when they thaw, while flame orbs can free frozen players. When Ancient Flare is cast, standing in the water reduces the fire damage; in the later phase, use that water during the flare as well.

Glasya Labolas: manage the adds’ energy lines
The community guide recommends that the tank hold Glasya Labolas near the middle of its circular platform. Watch for its conal and player-targeted area attacks. Later, Clockwork Wright adds appear; intercept the energy lines they create so the adds can be killed.

Amon: respond to transformations and adds
Amon’s encounter includes transformations and add interactions. The community guide describes freezing a transformed player to help resolve Curtain Call. A bug affecting the ice-shield mechanic was reported in June 2024 and hotfixed on June 29, 2024; that is historical context, not evidence of an unresolved current issue.

Xande: follow markers and use the platforms
Watch Xande’s markers for attacks that call for players to stack or spread. During the Ancient Quake/Ancient Quaga sequence, use the arena platforms as directed by the mechanic. Fast groups may skip parts of the encounter, so respond to the casts and markers actually shown rather than moving based on an assumed sequence.

Rewards and the old weekly restriction
The official duty record lists Allagan Tomestones of Poetics in reward entries of 10, 20, 30 and 40, along with treasure coffers. The Triple Triad Trial quest also offers a card drop. These are the listed reward entries, not a promise that every player receives every reward on each run.
Syrcus Tower originally had a one-item-per-week restriction, documented in Square Enix’s June 24, 2014 preview. That is release-era information: the community guide records that the weekly limit was lifted in patch 2.4, so the old restriction should not be treated as current loot advice.
