What Fishipedia requires
Fishipedia is tied to the game’s rare Drip variants: the walkthroughs describe finding and killing these forms as the completion task. Steam’s official description likewise frames the broader game goal as collecting rare fish variants: “Try to collect the rare variant of all the different fish.” The listing does not specify a Fishipedia roster or an exact required Drip-entry total.

The encyclopedia separates standard creature entries from Drip entries. The standard entries relate to the Collector goal; Fishipedia tracks the Drip entries separately.
Use the encyclopedia as your checklist
- Press Tab to open the in-game encyclopedia.
- Check the Drip entries, not just the standard creature entries.
- Note which Drip entries are blank. These show what you still need to find.
The encyclopedia helps you see gaps, but it does not provide spawn locations. Use the missing entries to guide your search across islands; the reviewed walkthroughs do not establish a verified spawn map.

Complete the Drip hunt
- Finish the story if it suits your route. Walkthroughs recommend post-story cleanup because more island access and endgame gear can make it more convenient. They do not establish story completion as a hard requirement.
- Search for the creatures behind your blank entries. Return to relevant islands and hunt for Drip variants. The available guidance does not confirm exact spawn points.
- Kill each Drip variant you find. The guides describe these as distinct variants rather than ordinary entries.
- Reopen the encyclopedia. Check whether the corresponding Drip entries have filled in, then repeat the hunt for remaining blanks.
- Check for the achievement. Continue until Fishipedia unlocks; the published sources do not establish a definitive number of Drip entries required.
How many Drip entries are required?
A community guide gives a working catalog of 49 creatures—38 regular fish and 11 boss-class entries—but explicitly says this is not an official Fishipedia requirement. It also reports disagreement about whether boss-class rows count as Drip variants. Do not treat 49 as the confirmed number of Drip entries, or assume a boss kill fills both a boss entry and a Drip entry.
The reviewed sources do not settle the exact Drip-entry total, how boss entries interact with Fishipedia, or whether the reported cleanup behavior is unchanged in every current patch. If your visible Drip entries are filled but the achievement has not unlocked, the available evidence does not identify a definitive fix; recheck the separate Drip list and keep the boss-entry uncertainty in mind.
