On current Samsung Galaxy phones, Bedtime mode is called Sleep mode. Turn it off by opening Settings > Modes and Routines > Sleep, then tapping Turn off at the top of the screen.
Turn off Bedtime mode in Settings
- Open Settings.
- Tap Modes and Routines.
- Tap Sleep.
- Tap Turn off at the top of the Sleep screen.
Samsung’s current Digital Wellbeing instructions use the name Sleep mode and say it was formerly called Bedtime mode or Wind Down. Samsung’s instructions for Digital Wellbeing describe the same Turn off control.

Use Quick Settings to access modes
For a quicker route, swipe down from the top of the screen to open Quick Settings, then tap Modes. Samsung says modes can be enabled or disabled from this panel. The exact controls available may differ by device and software version; see Samsung’s Modes and Routines guidance.

If the menu or labels are different
Samsung notes that screens and settings can vary by device model, software version, and carrier. Its Digital Wellbeing features described in the support guidance require Android 10 or later, and some options have moved to Modes and Routines. If you cannot find Sleep, check your phone’s software and search Settings for “Sleep” or “Modes and Routines.”

Samsung Canada’s grayscale troubleshooting guide, updated March 17, 2026, lists Sleep mode as one possible cause and discusses other settings that can affect screen colors.
