Meta announced Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full on October 12, 2026. At launch, developers could try Muse Wonder through Meta Model API or Muse Code; Muse Wonder Full was available through Muse Code’s Power Usage and Maximum Usage plans. Meta said Muse Wonder would soon begin powering its Muse experience, first for subscribers, but did not give a launch date or list supported countries.
Choose an access route
The two models do not have the same access options. Muse Wonder is the model to start with if you want API access or a coding-agent workflow. Meta listed Muse Wonder Full through specific Muse Code subscriptions at launch; the announcement did not establish that you need Full for ordinary testing.

Try Muse Wonder through the API
Meta says the Muse Wonder API works with an OpenAI-compatible client: developers with an existing project can configure the API base URL and key, then call the model. Use Meta’s current developer launch instructions and Muse Wonder model page for the live endpoint details, authentication steps, price, limits, and supported features. The model identifier listed is muse-wonder-1.0; API identifiers and terms can change.

Meta’s launch pricing was metered by token: $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens. The model page listed cached input tokens at $0.20 per million and a context window of one million tokens. These figures are not a prediction of the cost of a particular task: total spend depends on how much input and generated output your calls use, and the published rates may change.

Try it in Muse Code or through another integration
Muse Code
Meta also lists Muse Code as a way to use Muse Wonder. It presents Muse Code as a coding-agent environment for work such as making changes across a codebase and running longer tasks. For Wonder Full, Meta’s launch materials named the Power Usage and Maximum Usage subscriptions. Its plan page listed those at $50 and $200 per month, respectively, at the time researched; check the Muse Code page for current pricing, usage limits, and model inclusion before choosing a plan.
OpenRouter
Meta’s developer model page also listed OpenRouter as an integration option. Check whether the model is currently listed there, along with its terms, pricing, and availability in your region, before relying on that route.

What Meta says the models can do
Meta positions Wonder and Wonder Full as agentic models for personal and professional tasks. Its examples include interpreting a lease or insurance claim, working with financial or health information, and coding a game or application. The developer materials describe multi-step reasoning, sequential tool use, long-running task completion, coding across large repositories, computer use, and interpreting screenshots, charts, documents, images, and video.
Active Memory and Active Focus
Meta describes Active Memory as carrying relevant context across conversations. Active Focus is its term for continuing toward a goal when a task becomes difficult: trying alternative approaches, recovering from errors, asking for clarification, and checking in before important actions. These are descriptions of intended capabilities, not guarantees that every task will be completed correctly or safely.

Test the work that matters to you
Meta reports strong results on its evaluation suite and cites third-party runs on selected coding benchmarks. Those are company-reported results, not proof that a model will perform well on your particular documents, codebase, or process. Try representative tasks and compare accuracy, completion, reliability, latency, and cost. The developer announcement also cautions that audio-dependent use cases require confirmation of audio support on the specific release surface; do not assume audio is supported everywhere.
Pick a route based on workflow and cost
- For an application or custom tool: Start with the metered API route if you need to integrate the model directly. Estimate cost from expected input and output token use, and verify current rates and limits first.
- For coding-agent work: Muse Code is the route Meta presents for coding workflows. Check its current usage limits and included models before subscribing.
- If you specifically need Wonder Full: Meta listed it for Power Usage and Maximum Usage subscribers at launch. Confirm current plan availability; do not assume Wonder Full is required just to evaluate Muse Wonder.
- If you are deciding whether the claims fit your needs: Use examples and benchmarks that resemble your intended work, then test the same tasks yourself. The available launch claims do not establish which access route is better value for an individual.
Safety, privacy, and consequential tasks
Meta says the Wonder family was trained to avoid sharing private information without permission, refuse harmful requests, and support defensive cybersecurity work. The company also describes agents working across messages, calendars, and documents. These stated safeguards do not remove the need to review Meta’s current privacy terms and understand how information is handled before submitting sensitive data.

For legal, financial, or health matters, use a model to organize or explain information, not as a replacement for a qualified lawyer, financial adviser, or clinician. Check important outputs and make consequential decisions with appropriate professional guidance. Meta said a fuller report with additional safety evaluations would be available soon; the reviewed launch material does not establish that such a report was available then.
Is Muse Wonder in Meta’s consumer app yet?
Meta said Muse Wonder would soon power Muse, with subscribers first. Its October 12, 2026 announcement did not specify the consumer rollout date, countries, or detailed eligibility. That statement is not confirmation that the model is already available in the consumer experience. Check Meta’s current Muse announcements and in-product availability for updates.
