Why is my Galaxy Z Fold 8 inner screen not responding to touch?
Work through these checks in order. Retest the screen after each change so you can tell whether that step helped.

1. Restart the phone
A temporary software problem can make touch input seem unresponsive. Restart normally first. If the phone will not respond, Samsung’s general guidance is to hold the Side and Volume Down buttons for more than seven seconds to force a restart. Test the inner screen again after the phone boots.

Take off non-original screen protectors, cases, and accessories, then retest—especially if missed touches occur near the edges or gestures are unreliable. Samsung notes that accessories can affect touch sensitivity or gesture recognition. If you keep a protector installed, check whether Touch sensitivity is available in your settings and try enabling it. Settings availability and names vary. This guidance concerns non-original accessories; it is not a recommendation to remove the factory inner film.

3. Review accessibility and touch settings
Accessibility options can change how taps and gestures behave. If touches seem delayed, repeated, or accompanied by unexpected spoken feedback, review settings such as TalkBack, touch-and-hold delay, tap duration, repeated-touch filtering, and magnification shortcuts. Their menu names and locations can differ by software version.
4. Dry the screen if it is damp
Moisture can interfere with touch. Wipe the screen with a soft, dry cloth and test again. Drying is a basic check, not a remedy for persistent faults or physical damage.

Why does my Fold 8 inner display look yellow, dim, or unusual?
First restart the phone, install available system and app updates, and review the display settings. If the screen looks yellow or warmer than expected, Samsung specifically recommends checking whether Eye comfort shield is enabled; its effect may be intentional. If content merely looks too large or small, adjust text size or screen zoom. These checks do not determine whether the display panel is damaged.

- Select the touchscreen test.
- Touch the blank test areas and review the result.
Samsung has also announced touch-response checks under Warranty and care on One UI 9 for new foldables, including Galaxy Z Fold8. Availability may depend on software and region.
When should I get the inner screen repaired?
Stop using the device and take it to a Samsung service center if the display has been physically damaged by a strong impact. Seek Samsung Members support or an authorized service center for persistent touch or display problems that remain after basic checks, or for visible damage such as cracks, lines, flicker, or black areas. Do not press the crease, heat the phone, apply liquid, remove the inner display, or attempt a DIY panel repair.
