For repeated access to recent photos and videos on a Windows computer, pair your Galaxy with Link to Windows and use the Phone Link app. To send an occasional file, Bluetooth is another option, though Samsung Support warns that “Bluetooth transfers may be slow and unreliable.” You can also use cloud storage as an online middle step.
Choose the method that fits the transfer
| Method | Best for | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Link to Windows and Phone Link | Regularly saving recent Gallery photos and videos to a Windows PC | Samsung says the Phone Link Photos view can show up to 2,000 recent photos and videos. It is not documented as a way to browse the phone’s entire file system or copy a complete library. Samsung Support |
| Bluetooth | Sending a selected file occasionally | Pair the devices, put Windows in file-receive mode, and share the file from the phone. Samsung cautions that transfers may be slow and unreliable. Samsung Support |
| Cloud storage | Moving files through an online intermediary | Samsung lists cloud storage as an alternative, but provider-specific steps, storage limits, pricing, and plan requirements are not established here. Samsung Support |
| Quick Share | Nearby sharing when both devices support it | Samsung device documentation describes sharing to nearby devices over Wi-Fi Direct or Bluetooth, with acceptance on the receiving device. Current Quick Share for Windows compatibility and setup are not established here, so do not assume it is available for every PC. Samsung Support |
Use Phone Link for recent Gallery photos and videos
This route is intended for recent Gallery media, rather than unrestricted access to every folder or file on the Galaxy. Samsung says the Photos view can display up to 2,000 recent photos and videos. As newer items arrive, older previews leave the view; Samsung says that this does not delete the originals on the phone. Samsung Support

Before you pair
- The PC must run Windows 10 or Windows 11 and have the Phone Link app.
- Add a Microsoft account to the PC.
- Enable Link to Windows on the Galaxy. It may already be available on newer models; otherwise Samsung says it may be available from the Play Store.
- Have both devices on the same network. Samsung says this is typically required; mobile-data use is available as a setting.

Send a selected file with Bluetooth
Bluetooth is useful when you need to send a particular file rather than routinely view recent Gallery media. Windows must be ready to receive before you send from the Galaxy.
- Turn on Bluetooth on the Galaxy and PC, then pair the devices.
- On Windows 10, open the Bluetooth menu from the taskbar and choose Receive a File in Bluetooth File Transfer.
- On Windows 11, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices > Send or receive files via Bluetooth, then choose the receive option.
- On the Galaxy, select the file, tap Share, choose Bluetooth, and select the PC.
- Complete the receive prompts on Windows and choose where to save the file if asked.
Samsung Support cautions that “Bluetooth transfers may be slow and unreliable,” so it may be a poor fit when speed or consistency matters. Samsung Support

This avoids pairing the phone directly with the computer, but depends on internet access and the service you choose. Samsung names cloud storage as an option; its guidance cited here does not establish a specific provider, quota, price, or whether a paid plan is needed. Samsung Support
