To track a product’s price with ChangeTower, create a monitor for the exact product-page URL, choose Specific Elements to watch the price area or Smart Monitor to describe a rule such as “Notify me when the price changes,” set a check schedule, and enable alerts. ChangeTower takes an initial snapshot and alerts you when a later check detects a qualifying change; it does not promise an instant update between checks. ChangeTower Help Center describes the workflow for product pages and listings.
Set up a ChangeTower price monitor
- In ChangeTower, choose New Monitor and select single-page monitoring for one product. For several listings, use the multi-page or bulk workflow instead.
- Enter the product’s exact listing URL—the page that displays the price. Do not use the retailer’s homepage or a search-results page.
- Choose how to define what counts as a change:
- Specific Elements: Select the displayed price area in the page view when you want to focus monitoring on that part of the page.
- Smart Monitor: Describe the condition in plain language, for example, “Notify me when the price changes.” You can also specify a threshold, such as “Alert me if the price drops below $200, or it goes out of stock.” That threshold is an example, not a universal recommendation.
- Choose an available check frequency that fits how quickly you need to know about a change. Enable email alerts if you want them, then create the monitor.
- Review detections on the Notifications page. The initial snapshot establishes a baseline; an alert follows only if a later check detects a qualifying change.
ChangeTower’s help guide also describes Smart Monitor criteria for stock and back-in-stock changes, plus Slack and webhook delivery options. For multiple pages with different layouts, the guide says Smart Monitor can apply the same criteria across them. Confirm URL-import steps and account capacity in the service before loading hundreds or thousands of listings.

Choose a check interval that suits the price
Checks are scheduled, not continuous. A price can change after one check and before the next, so an alert is not a guarantee that the displayed price will still be available when you visit the retailer. The ChangeTower product page advertises checks as often as every five minutes, but the published pricing page lists plan-specific intervals. The advertised plan terms reviewed in 2026 are:
| Plan | Pages | Check interval | Snapshot history | Advertised price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 3 | Daily | 30 days | Free |
| Lite | 25 | Daily | 30 days | $12/month |
| Essential | 100 | Hourly | 60 days | $36/month |
| Business | 200 | Every 20 minutes | 6 months | $78/month |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom schedule | Not stated | Custom |
These are ChangeTower’s advertised figures on its pricing page, researched in 2026; they are commercial terms, not independent performance measurements, and may change. The page lists a five-day paid-plan trial. Check the current page for the interval, capacity, history, and price that apply to your account.

Monitor several product listings
For a collection of products, use ChangeTower’s multi-page or bulk monitoring workflow rather than creating single-page monitors one by one. Before importing a large list, confirm how your plan handles URL capacity and checking frequency. A shared Smart Monitor rule can be useful when pages use different layouts but the price or availability condition is the same.
If notifications need to reach a team workflow, ChangeTower documents Slack and webhook options. Verify the configuration and availability in its help materials before relying on them for operational alerts.

Troubleshooting price alerts
- No alert after creating the monitor: The first snapshot is a baseline, not a price-drop alert. Wait for a later scheduled check and a change that matches your rule.
- The wrong content appears to be monitored: Check that the monitor uses the exact product listing URL rather than a category, store homepage, or search-results URL. If using Specific Elements, select the displayed price area.
- An alert arrives later than expected: Check the plan’s interval. A scheduled monitor cannot guarantee notification at the moment the retailer changes its page.
- A threshold or restock did not trigger: Review the Smart Monitor instruction and the page’s current displayed wording and availability. A rule only helps if the monitored page presents information that can be detected at a later check.
- You cannot add all your listings: Verify your plan’s page allowance and the current bulk-import workflow. The ability to import many URLs does not itself establish that your plan can monitor them all at the desired cadence.

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server, not a price-change monitor, so it does not replace ChangeTower alerts. If you also need a clean capture of a product page for a workflow, one GET request returns an image or PDF. For example, this cURL call saves a WebP screenshot:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
