Repeat the capture on a consistent schedule, then compare records only when the product, specifications and price basis match. A screenshot records what appeared on the page at that moment—it is not a binding or current quote.
What you need to track
You can use a browser, its screenshot function and a spreadsheet or notes app. For each observation, keep the original image and record:

- Capture date and time.
- Supplier name and product or listing name.
- The exact listing URL.
- The displayed price and unit, if shown.
- Minimum order quantity or quantity basis, if visible.
- Relevant specifications and any wording such as “Get Latest Price.”
Do not enter an estimate when the page has no price. Record that no price was displayed, or preserve the page wording as shown.

How to capture and log a listing
- Open the exact supplier product page. Check that the product name and supplier identity are visible so you do not accidentally track a search result or a different seller’s listing.
- Capture the relevant page content. Include the displayed price and unit, product details, and enough supplier context to identify the listing. If the page is taller than your screen, use a full-page capture or take overlapping screenshots; include a separate image showing the URL if needed.
- Save the original image with a dated filename. For example,
2026-10-03_supplier_product.png. Keep the unaltered capture. If you need to mark a price for review, make a copy rather than annotating over the original. - Add an observation to your log. Enter the time, supplier, product, listing URL, displayed amount and unit, quantity basis, and any relevant wording or specifications. Leave an unavailable price blank or label it “not displayed”; do not treat it as zero.
- Repeat at a consistent interval. Return to the same URL and save a new image for each observation. Choose a cadence suited to your purchasing needs; no universal interval is established for IndiaMART listings.
- Verify commercially important details with the supplier. Ask for a current quotation and confirm the terms before deciding. Keep the confirmed quote separate from the screenshot record.
How to compare observations fairly
Before calling a difference a price change, check that both screenshots refer to the same listing—or to clearly equivalent products—and compare the same supplier context, specifications, unit and quantity basis. A per-piece amount is not directly comparable with a per-kilogram or bulk amount unless you can reliably normalize the basis.

Also check whether the listing content changed. A different specification, minimum order or product description can explain a different displayed amount without indicating a like-for-like price change. Preserve each URL and capture date so you can review what was actually observed.
IndiaMART InterMESH Ltd’s October 2022 company presentation illustrates a product page showing ₹800 per piece alongside product specifications and seller contact actions. That is an interface example, not a market statistic or proof that all listings show prices or that the displayed amount is a binding offer (IndiaMART company presentation).

What screenshots can and cannot establish
A screenshot is evidence of visible page content at one point in time. It does not prove that the amount remained available between captures, that the item is currently in stock, or that the supplier will honor the displayed amount. Taxes, shipping, quantity, availability, quote validity and negotiated terms still need confirmation.
Price display varies. Third-party service pages advertise extraction of fields such as listing prices while acknowledging that fields may be absent; those provider descriptions do not independently establish accuracy, continued compatibility or IndiaMART authorization. If you consider automated collection, check the tool’s current capabilities and applicable platform terms before relying on it.

What IndiaMART’s sourcing extension says it does
The Chrome Web Store listing for IndiaMART Product Sourcing identifies IndiaMART as the publisher and describes sourcing, quote comparison and negotiation support. It lists version 1.2 and an update date of January 30, 2025, but does not describe price-history charts, screenshot archiving or price-change alerts (Chrome Web Store listing). Do not assume it provides an archive or alerts unless its current listing says so.

Troubleshooting your tracking log
- No amount appears: Record the price as not displayed and preserve wording such as “Get Latest Price.” Contact the supplier for a quote rather than filling in an estimate.
- The screenshots seem to show different prices: Check unit, quantity basis, minimum order, specifications, supplier identity and listing URL before treating the change as comparable.
- The page is too tall for one image: Use a full-page capture if available, or take overlapping screenshots that cover the price and relevant product and supplier details.
- A screenshot is difficult to identify later: Use a date-based filename and keep supplier, product and URL in the accompanying log.
- An automated collector misses or changes fields: Do not assume an advertised extractor is accurate or compatible. Check its current behavior and platform terms, then verify important observations against the listing and supplier.
