Costco’s official pages reviewed here do not document a watchlist that sends alerts when a particular item drops in price. If you want automatic notifications, independent services such as Warehouse Runner and CostClubWeekly advertise tracking features—but verify any alert against Costco’s current price for the same item, location, and purchase channel. If an eligible purchase price falls, Costco’s U.S. policy may allow an adjustment within 30 days, subject to conditions.
How do I track Costco prices with Costco’s own tools?
Use Costco’s app or Costco.com for the most authoritative view of Costco’s offers and purchase process. For warehouse stock and pricing, select the location where you shop and look up the item or its item number. Costco says an inventory lookup can show price and availability, but those details may be delayed by up to 30 minutes and can change. Items shown as out of stock may not appear in the lookup. Costco’s inventory FAQ explains these limits; as Costco puts it, “In our treasure hunt atmosphere, inventory can change quickly.”

For online offers, browse the Savings or promotions area on Costco’s app or website and consider signing up for Costco promotional emails. App labels and menus can change, so use the current interface rather than relying on an old screenshot or set of instructions. A warehouse price and an online price are not necessarily the same: location, shipping and handling, and warehouse-only promotions can affect the comparison. Costco’s online offers and its price-match guidance are useful starting points.
How do I get Costco price-drop alerts?
Costco’s official app information describes promotions and savings, but the official pages reviewed do not document a personal item watchlist that sends a notification when that item’s price changes. Do not assume a Costco email or app notification is an alert for a specific product you are tracking.

Independent services advertise features that may fill that gap. They are not Costco services, and their feature descriptions are vendor claims—not an independent audit of alert accuracy, completeness, coverage, or user experience. Check that the service supports your region, platform, warehouse, item, and purchase channel before relying on it.

Neither alert service replaces checking Costco’s live listing or the warehouse where you bought the product. An alert is a prompt to verify a possible drop, not proof that the item is available at that price or qualifies for an adjustment.

How should I verify a price alert?
- Match the item. Check the exact product and item number where available; similar products, sizes, colors, or bundles may not be comparable.
- Match the channel. Verify the price on Costco.com for an online order or at the relevant warehouse for an in-store purchase. Costco does not match online purchases to warehouse prices or match other retailers’ prices. See Costco’s price-match guidance.
- Match the location. Warehouse prices and stock can differ by location. Choose the store where you purchased the item, and remember that inventory lookup information can lag by up to 30 minutes.
- Check the live terms and dates. A discount may be limited to a stated promotion period, and a tracker’s history or alert does not establish that Costco will approve a credit.
Can Costco refund the difference if the price drops?
For U.S. purchases, Costco’s published guidance says a qualifying price reduction within 30 days may be eligible for an adjustment, subject to exclusions and Costco’s discretion. The route depends on where you bought the item: submit an online request for a Costco.com purchase, or ask at the Returns counter of the warehouse where you made a warehouse purchase. Check Costco’s current price-adjustment policy before submitting.

Approved online credits typically take 5 to 10 business days to reach the original payment method. Those are stated policy terms, not a guarantee that every item or request will qualify. Costco’s policy also notes exclusions and reserves discretion to deny requests.

Warehouse purchases and Costco.com purchases are handled separately. A lower online price does not establish eligibility for an in-warehouse purchase, and a different warehouse’s price is not necessarily available at your store. The U.S. policy should not be applied to purchases in other countries; for example, Costco Canada publishes separate Costco.ca terms. Costco Canada’s policy is for that jurisdiction.
