How to Track AI Hardware Supply-Chain Changes Across Company Websites

A practical method for following AI hardware suppliers, production claims, and partnerships through official company websites and regulatory filings.

Build a dated watchlist from companies’ investor-relations pages and regulatory filings, then record each update by supply-chain role, named counterparties, product generation, status, and source type. This separates what a company has announced from what has shipped or been independently verified. To answer the related question—which companies make the parts behind AI hardware?—track chip designers, foundries, memory suppliers, packaging providers, equipment makers, and the companies that assemble, test, and build systems.

Which companies and supply-chain layers should you track?

Start with companies that disclose a role in the hardware chain. Add a company in another layer when a primary source names its relationship; avoid treating an ecosystem list as proof that every named company supplies every product.

  • AI platform and chip designers: companies that design processors, accelerators, or complete computing platforms.
  • Foundries: manufacturers that fabricate chips designed by other companies.
  • Memory suppliers: providers of memory used in accelerators and systems.
  • Packaging: companies or technologies involved in packaging chips and connecting components.
  • Equipment: suppliers of tools used in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Assembly, testing, and systems: contractors and system makers that assemble, test, and build finished hardware.

NVIDIA’s fiscal 2025 Form 10-K is one example of a filing that identifies foundry, memory, packaging, and contract-manufacturing relationships. Use such disclosures to seed a watchlist, not to assume that the same suppliers or arrangements apply unchanged to every later product generation.

Where to find dated company updates

Use investor relations as the company-source index

For each company, start at its official investor-relations site. Follow links to press releases, quarterly results, annual reports, investor events, and document repositories. TSMC’s investor-relations site points to investor resources, a document center, current financial events, and a supplier portal: TSMC investor relations. ASML describes its annual reports, quarterly results, and financial events on its investor-relations page, and maintains a separate dated press-release index.

Keep the publisher and source type with every item. A press release is the company’s announcement; a results presentation or annual report may give reporting-period context; a regulatory filing can disclose risks and dependencies in a different format. A page that changes over time should have an access date in your notes.

Check SEC filings for U.S.-listed companies

For U.S.-listed companies, compare announcements with their SEC filings. NVIDIA’s fiscal 2025 Form 10-K names supplier categories and manufacturing relationships. Its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended July 26, 2026 discusses production shipments, supply constraints, supply commitments, and infrastructure requirements for customers deploying systems. Those filings provide disclosure, not independent confirmation of a shipment or production claim.

Build a change log that preserves what each source says

Give every update its own row or record. Do not merge a planned relationship, a production ramp, and a shipment into one generic “supplier confirmed” status.

Field What to record
Company / publisher The company or regulator that published the material.
Publication date and period The release date, or the filing date and covered quarter or fiscal year.
Exact URL and source type The link as published, plus whether it is a company release, filing, report, or another source.
Counterparties and role Named companies and the supply-chain role the source assigns them.
Product generation The named platform, chip, or generation, if stated.
Geography A location only when the source explicitly gives one.
Status Use the source’s wording, such as “planned,” “collaborating,” “ramping,” “producing,” or “shipping.”
Evidence and limits A short excerpt or accurate paraphrase, followed by what the source does not establish.

For example, NVIDIA’s May 31, 2026 Vera Rubin announcement names Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo, Supermicro, and other partners, and describes the platform as ramping into full production. Record that as NVIDIA’s stated status on that date, not as proof that all listed partners are shipping systems or that end customers can obtain them. The release also reports 150 supply-chain ecosystem partners in Taiwan and more than 350 factories across 30 countries for the ramp; those are NVIDIA’s figures, not independent industry-wide measurements. Its comparison of 10x agent throughput at scale with the previous-generation NVIDIA Grace Blackwell platform is likewise company-reported, not an independently validated benchmark here. See the Vera Rubin announcement.

Compare changes without conflating unlike claims

Use the same comparison axes for every update: supply-chain role, named counterparties, product generation, stated geography, date and reporting period, disclosed status, and source type. Read the item against the company’s earlier statements and relevant filings. A newer release may update a roadmap or name additional partners without establishing broad availability downstream.

For instance, NVIDIA’s quarter-ended July 26, 2026 filing states that supply and capacity commitments were $279 billion as of that date, up from $119 billion the prior quarter. Attribute both figures to NVIDIA and retain the as-of date and comparison period; do not treat them as industry totals or shipped hardware. TSMC’s shareholder letter reports 35.9% year-over-year revenue growth in U.S. dollar terms for 2025. That is a company-reported revenue measure for that period, not a direct measure of AI-chip output. Read the TSMC annual report and shareholder-letter materials in that context.

Partnership language is also worth preserving accurately. In a June 1, 2026 announcement, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said the companies had worked together for nearly three decades; TSMC chairman and CEO C.C. Wei described their partnership as long-standing. These attributed statements establish how the executives characterize the relationship, not specific output volume or delivery timing. See the NVIDIA announcement about its work with TSMC.

Keep the tracker current and auditable

  1. Create the watchlist by layer. Start with companies named in filings or official announcements, and note each company’s role rather than assuming it.
  2. Bookmark official indexes. Use the investor-relations pages and dated release streams as entry points; record an access date for pages whose contents can change.
  3. Check on disclosure dates. Revisit the watchlist around earnings releases and major product announcements, then add the new dated source as a separate record.
  4. Preserve the original evidence. Store the exact URL, publication date, source type, and a brief accurate paraphrase; keep the source wording for status.
  5. Reconcile, do not overwrite. If a newer filing changes the picture, add the new claim and link it to the prior entry so the timeline remains visible.

Company-specific figures and supplier maps are time-sensitive. A production ramp claim, named partnership, capacity commitment, shipment disclosure, and risk factor each answer different questions. None alone establishes independent confirmation of volume, delivery dates, or end-customer deployment.

Or skip the browser setup

If you want a screenshot archive of the official pages you are tracking, ScreenshotNeo takes a screenshot through one API request. It accepts cookie or consent banners as a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each of those steps can be turned off. Bot checks and CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and the response says which page verdict occurred and whether it was billed. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf tools for AI agents and MCP clients.

The API can return PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. For a quick page capture, save the response as an image:

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://investor.tsmc.com/english -o shot.webp

See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for authentication, response headers, and other options. Free includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Every feature is on every plan. Sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month with no card.

Common tracking mistakes and fixes

  • “Partner” becomes “supplier” in your notes. Fix: record the source’s exact relationship and status language; do not infer a procurement commitment from an ecosystem list.
  • A ramp gets treated as delivered volume. Fix: distinguish ramping, producing, and shipping, and note that the claim is attributed to its publisher.
  • A filing and a press release appear to conflict. Fix: compare their dates, reporting periods, product generations, and claim types before deciding whether one supersedes the other.
  • A geography is assumed from a company’s headquarters. Fix: fill the geography field only when the source explicitly states a location.
  • A dynamic page has changed since it was logged. Fix: preserve the date accessed and the exact source URL; add a new record rather than silently replacing the old claim.
