To follow a spaceflight launch, start with the responsible space agency’s or launch provider’s official schedule, then check the mission’s latest advisory for timing and webcast details. Launch dates and coverage plans can change, so confirm them close to launch. A launch-tracking service can help you discover flights across providers and set alerts, but use the official mission page to verify an important time or status update.
Start with the official launch schedule
Find the mission on the agency or launch provider’s own schedule. NASA’s Launch Schedule includes a timezone selector and lists planning windows, which may be marked “No Earlier Than.” SpaceX’s launch page lists mission, vehicle, launch site, and launch date and time information.

Treat a listed date or time as a plan, not a guarantee. Check which timezone the page is showing and revisit it as launch approaches; a changed time on an official page takes precedence over an older calendar entry or a third-party countdown.
Check the mission advisory for changes and coverage
A schedule tells you when a launch is planned; a mission-specific advisory can explain what is happening around it and where to follow along. NASA’s September 29, 2026 Crew-13 advisory outlined prelaunch, launch, and docking coverage, linked to NASA Live, and was edited October 1 to revise a conference time. That is why an old calendar reminder is not enough when you need the current plan.

Follow links in the current advisory for the mission’s webcast, written updates, or blog. These arrangements vary by flight, so do not assume that every mission has the same coverage schedule or update channel.
Watch the launch through an official stream
NASA Live is NASA’s destination for live video and event coverage. The mission advisory indicates what NASA plans to cover for a particular flight and points viewers to the relevant destination. A launch provider may also publish a webcast link on its mission page; check the official listing rather than relying on a saved stream URL from a previous mission.

Get written mission updates
For changes you can check without watching a stream, use the agency’s mission page, advisory, or blog. NASA advisories can link to mission updates, but the available written channels differ by mission. Start with the latest advisory and follow its links so you are reading the channel associated with that flight.

Third-party trackers can make it easier to see launches from multiple providers in one place. NASANOW says it uses The Space Devs’ public, community-maintained Launch Library 2 and advertises official webcast links and browser notifications. The Space Launch Now App Store listing and Next Spaceflight App Store listing describe countdowns, launch information, and notification or stream-link features.
