To capture a website screenshot on an iPhone or Android device with LambdaTest, sign in, open Real Time Testing > Browser Testing, choose the mobile platform and an available device/browser environment, then start a session and capture the page. The key caveat: TestMu AI’s official guide says real-device web testing is in beta and access may require contacting support. LambdaTest is now branded TestMu AI.
Before you start: check real-device access
The current real-device web testing guide is published under the TestMu AI name, formerly LambdaTest. It says: “Currently Web testing on real devices is in the Beta phase. To access this feature, contact TestMu AI Support.” If you do not see the real-device options in your account, contact support before troubleshooting your browser or device setup. Capture a website screenshot manually
- Sign in to your TestMu AI account.
- In the left menu, open Real Time Testing, then select Browser Testing.
- Choose Android or iOS, then configure the available brand, device/OS, and browser fields.
- Start the session. In the cloud-hosted mobile browser, navigate to the website and inspect the page at the selected environment.
- Use the screenshot camera control to capture the page. The interface may vary; the documented workflow opens an image editor for annotation and bug details.
- Annotate the image if needed, then download it or attach it to a bug report. The real-device guide also describes creating an issue through an integration.
- To retrieve captures later, check the session’s test logs or Gallery. Captures and session recordings are documented as available in the Gallery for download.

Choose a physical or virtual mobile session
A virtual mobile session and a physical-device session are not interchangeable. TestMu AI’s FAQ says virtual mobile sessions run on Android emulators and iOS simulators. For physical phones and tablets, it directs users to Real Device Cloud. Use the virtual route when a simulated configuration is sufficient; use a real-device session when the validation specifically requires physical hardware. TestMu AI FAQ Book
When to use Appium instead
The manual browser workflow is suited to a one-off inspection or screenshot. For repeatable checks, TestMu AI documents a separate Appium automation path on real iOS and Android devices. That guide names Chrome on Android and Safari on iOS for its real-device mobile web automation workflow and shows an isRealMobile capability. This is not the same as the manual screenshot flow; check the current support matrix and your account’s available environments before building around a particular combination. - Real-device web testing is missing: The feature is marked beta. Contact TestMu AI Support to ask about access.
- Your target device or browser is not listed: The documentation does not guarantee every combination for every account. Choose from the available fields or confirm availability with support.
- You are unsure whether the session is physical: Virtual mobile sessions use emulators or simulators; choose Real Device Cloud when you need a physical phone or tablet.
- You cannot find the screenshot button or saved image: Look for the screenshot camera control during the live session, then check test logs or Gallery for the capture. Labels and placement may vary across interface versions.
- You need a repeatable screenshot check: Use the separate Appium mobile web automation workflow, and verify its supported device/browser matrix rather than assuming the manual route’s options apply.
