To capture a website at 375 pixels wide in Chrome, open DevTools, turn on the Device Toolbar, select Responsive, and set the viewport width to 375. Set a height as well, then use More options > Capture screenshot for the visible viewport or More options > Capture a full size screenshot for the whole page. For repeatable comparisons, also record the device type and device pixel ratio (DPR).
Set a 375-pixel viewport in Chrome
- Open the page you want to inspect in Chrome.
- Open DevTools: select More tools > Developer tools from Chrome’s menu, or use the keyboard shortcut for your operating system.
- Turn on the Toggle device toolbar control in DevTools.
- In the device dimensions control, select Responsive.
- Enter 375 for the width and enter the height you need. The height determines how much of the page appears in a viewport-only screenshot.
- Wait for the page layout to update, then choose the appropriate screenshot option from More options.
Chrome’s documented responsive-width presets include 320, 375, 425, 768, 1024, 1440, and 2560 pixels. The 375-pixel preset is a convenient starting point; entering 375 directly makes the intended width explicit. These are viewport presets, not measurements of how common any screen size is. See Chrome’s device mode documentation for the current interface and details.

Choose viewport-only or full-page capture
- Visible viewport: Select More options > Capture screenshot to capture the currently visible area. The result depends on both the width and height you set.
- Whole document: Select More options > Capture a full size screenshot to include content beyond the visible viewport.
- Device frame: If using a device-specific mode and you want its frame around the capture, enable the option to show the device frame before capturing.
These options produce different artifacts. When sharing a screenshot or comparing captures, label whether it is viewport-only or full-page and note the dimensions used.

375 CSS pixels do not specify the output image’s physical pixel width
Device pixel ratio (DPR) is the ratio of physical screen pixels to logical CSS pixels. Chrome uses DPR when drawing for HiDPI displays. Setting a 375-pixel viewport therefore does not, by itself, tell you the screenshot’s physical raster dimensions. For reproducible comparisons, record the viewport width and height, device type, DPR, and capture type.

Responsive mode is an approximation, not a real phone
Chrome describes Device Mode as a way to “approximate how your page looks and performs on a mobile device.” It simulates aspects of mobile display and interaction, but it cannot reproduce every mobile property. Chrome specifically notes differences such as mobile and desktop CPU architecture. Use a real mobile device when the result depends on actual hardware behavior; an emulated screenshot alone is not proof of real-device performance.
Inspect breakpoints that affect the screenshot
- In the Device Toolbar, open More options > Show media queries.
- Inspect the displayed
max-widthandmin-widthbreakpoints. - Select or move around a breakpoint to inspect how the layout changes; Chrome’s documentation explains how to reveal the associated source declaration.
- Capture at 375 pixels and, if a breakpoint is close, capture just above and below it to identify which rule changes the layout.
This is useful when a page looks unexpectedly compressed, overflows horizontally, or changes navigation near the target width. The breakpoint display helps locate responsive rules; it does not replace checking the rendered page.

Make screenshot comparisons reproducible
A 375-pixel width alone is not a complete capture specification. Before comparing two screenshots, keep these conditions consistent:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Viewport width and height
- Device type or whether the viewport is Responsive
- DPR
- Viewport-only versus full-page capture
- Page state, including scroll position and any overlays or dialogs
Chrome’s device presets include 375 pixels, but the official documentation does not establish a population statistic for that width. Treat it as a test viewport, not evidence that all or most visitors use a 375-pixel screen.

Or skip the browser setup
ScreenshotNeo can return a website screenshot from one GET request. For example, this cURL command requests the page at a 375-pixel viewport width; see the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for available parameters and setup.
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com --data-urlencode width=375 -o shot.webp
Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your key and change the URL to the page you want to capture. ScreenshotNeo removes cookie banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and the response identifies the page verdict and billing status in headers. Its MCP server lets AI agents use screenshot tools, and the Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card required; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots. Troubleshooting
The screenshot is not 375 pixels wide
Check that the Device Toolbar is enabled, the mode is Responsive, and the width field—not the height field—contains 375. Remember that DPR affects raster output, so physical image dimensions need not equal the CSS viewport width.

The page does not look like it does on a phone
Confirm whether mobile rendering behavior matters and select an appropriate device type if needed. Responsive width alone does not define a complete device configuration. For hardware-specific behavior, verify on an actual phone.
Content is missing from the capture
A viewport screenshot includes only what is currently visible. Set the height you need or use Capture a full size screenshot to include content beyond the viewport.

The layout changes unexpectedly near 375 pixels
Use Show media queries to locate nearby minimum- and maximum-width breakpoints. Inspect captures on both sides of the relevant breakpoint to see which responsive rule takes effect.
The menu labels differ
Chrome’s interface can change between versions. If the labels do not match, use the current DevTools device toolbar controls and consult the official device mode documentation.
