Use Playwright Test’s screenshot assertion to compare Gujarati pages against approved visual baselines. Choose representative pages and responsive states, run baseline and comparison captures in the same browser environment, and inspect every difference—especially Gujarati glyph shaping and line wrapping—in the fonts and browsers your site supports.
Choose Gujarati pages and states that expose layout problems
Start with real pages from your project rather than a generic fixture. Include states where small rendering changes could affect layout or usability:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- A page with long Gujarati headings and paragraphs, so wrapping and vertical spacing are visible.
- Navigation, buttons, forms, and other interface text that users need to read and operate.
- Responsive layouts at the viewport sizes your site supports, particularly where Gujarati text may wrap differently.
- Any dynamic state that matters to users, such as an expanded menu or validation message.
No universal Gujarati font or browser matrix is established here. Derive the matrix from your website’s declared browser support and actual font configuration, then verify representative Gujarati text in each environment you choose to support.

In a Playwright Test, navigate to the page, set its intended state, and assert a screenshot with await expect(page).toHaveScreenshot(). The first run creates a reference image; later runs compare the current capture with that reference. See the Playwright visual comparisons guide and the toHaveScreenshot API reference.

import { test, expect } from '@playwright/test';
test('Gujarati page matches its visual baseline', async ({ page }) => {
await page.setViewportSize({ width: 1280, height: 800 });
await page.goto('http://localhost:3000/gu/');
await expect(page).toHaveScreenshot('gu-home.png', {
fullPage: true,
});
});
Replace the example local URL and page name with your own. Establish the reference in the environment you intend to use for comparisons, review the generated image, and commit it with the test. Subsequent runs report visual changes relative to that reference.
Keep captures stable without hiding Gujarati rendering
The screenshot assertion waits for two consecutive captures to produce the same result before comparing the final capture to the expected image. That helps with capture stability, but your test still needs to arrange a meaningful and repeatable page state.

- SMOOTH ACTION WITH ADAPTIVE-SYNC: Adaptive-Sync technology ensures fluid action sequences and rapid response time. Every frame will be rendered smoothly with crystal clarity and without stutter
- INCREDIBLE CONTRAST: The VA panel produces brighter whites and deeper blacks. You get true-to-life images and more gradients with 16.7 million colors
- THE PERFECT VIEW: The 178/178 degree extra wide viewing angle prevents the shifting of colors when viewed from an offset angle, so you always get consistent colors
- Animations: Use the assertion’s animation handling when motion makes captures inconsistent. Do not let this conceal a layout behavior the test is meant to cover.
- Dynamic regions: Masks can hide intentionally variable content, but do not mask Gujarati copy, glyphs, text containers, or wrapping that the test is checking.
- Capture scope: Use full-page capture when the whole document’s layout matters. For a focused assertion, capture the relevant page or element instead.
- Difference thresholds: Adjust comparison thresholds only when you understand which visual differences they will permit. A more tolerant threshold can also allow a real text or layout regression to pass.
These controls are documented in the screenshot assertion API. Keep the comparison sensitive to the Gujarati text and layout under test.

Match the baseline environment to the comparison run
Playwright warns that rendering can vary with the host operating system, browser and version, settings, hardware, power source, headless mode, and other factors. Generate and check snapshots in a consistent environment; if you support materially different browser or platform combinations, maintain appropriate baselines for those environments instead of treating one render as universal. See the visual comparisons guide.

- Clear visuals. Fluid motion: A 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT deliver smooth, tear‑free motion across work, gaming, and streaming for clearer, more fluid viewing.
- Eye comfort: TÜV Rheinland 3‑star* certification reduces harmful blue light while preserving stunning color quality without compromise. *TÜV Rheinland 3-star eye comfort certification.
- Wide viewing angle: Get consistent views across a wide 178° /178° viewing angle.
- In-Plane Switching (IPS): See excellent color accuracy and consistency across wide viewing angles with In-plane Switching (IPS) technology.
- Ultra-thin bezels: Maximize your viewing experience with thin bezels.
Prioritize environments using your site’s actual support commitments and audience. In each selected combination, inspect that the Gujarati font loads and that the text’s glyphs, shaping, line breaks, and surrounding layout appear as intended. The right font and browser coverage is project-specific, not a universal Playwright setting.
Review and update snapshots deliberately
When a test reports a difference, compare the current capture with the approved reference before changing anything. An updated baseline should record an intentional design or content change, not merely make an unexplained diff disappear.

- INCREASED VERSATILITY: Connect to more; Plug devices straight into your monitor for increased flexibility, making your computing environment even more convenient
- Run the visual test in the same environment used for its baseline.
- Inspect the changed areas, including Gujarati glyphs, line wrapping, spacing, and responsive behavior.
- If the change is intended, update references with
npx playwright test --update-snapshots. - Review the newly generated images and include them with the corresponding code change.
Troubleshoot common visual-test failures
- Diffs appear only on another machine: Host OS, browser version, settings, hardware, power source, or headless mode may differ. Run comparisons in the baseline environment or establish a separate baseline for a supported environment.
- Text wraps or spacing changes unexpectedly: Check the page’s actual font loading and inspect Gujarati text in the browser and font combination being tested. The appropriate font coverage depends on your site; no single Gujarati font recommendation is established here.
- Repeated runs produce inconsistent screenshots: Make the page state deterministic, account for animations or changing regions with the documented assertion options, and avoid masking the content whose rendering matters.
- A snapshot update seems to fix a failure immediately: Do not accept the new image until you have determined whether the visual change is intentional. Updating references without inspection can encode a regression as the expected result.

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. Its screenshot captures can accept cookie or consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Responses identify page verdict and billing status: bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf for AI agents and MCP clients.
For a quick capture, make one GET request with your API key and the Gujarati page URL. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for options and response details.
