The strongest documented check for a Funko Bitty POP! is the Octane5 authentication code—but only if that exact package has Funko’s authentication sticker. Scan the sticker’s QR code, enter its unique item code on Octane5, and review the result. Funko has documented this packaging for specific convention-exclusive Bitty POP! releases; it has not established that every Bitty POP! carries it. Without the sticker, compare the exact release with Funko’s product listing and use purchase protections rather than treating one cosmetic difference as proof of a fake.
Use Octane5 when the exact package has Funko’s authentication sticker
Funko announced its authentication stickers on September 24, 2024. The sticker carries a QR code and a unique item code. Funko’s stated process is to scan the QR code, enter the item-specific code on the Octane5 page, and check the verification result. Funko said the micro-optic technology was developed with Crane Currency and is intended to resist duplication or alteration; it did not publish a counterfeit-detection accuracy rate. Funko’s announcement says: “To verify your Funko product, just scan the QR code with your phone or mobile device.”

Funko documents the system on particular Bitty POP! convention-exclusive listings, including the 2025 Summer Convention Fun Force 4-Pack and 2025 Fall Convention Paranormal Ops Patrol 4-Pack. These examples show that some Bitty POP! packages use Octane5; they do not establish that all releases do. Funko described a rollout beginning with many NYCC products, with the new stickers replacing event or retailer-exclusive stickers on affected packaging.
Scan and record the result
- Check that the package has the Octane5 sticker. Do not assume a sticker is required on a release whose official listing does not document it.
- Scan the QR code with a phone or other mobile device and follow the link to Octane5.
- Enter the unique item code from that sticker and review the verification result for the item.
- For a disputed purchase, keep the package and save a record of the result alongside the order details and seller’s claims.
A code result is one useful item-specific check, not a substitute for identifying the release and examining whether the listing and received product correspond.

Identify the exact Bitty POP! release before comparing it
Start with the character, series, pack name, release, and any convention or retailer-exclusive designation. Use the exact Funko product page as the reference: assortment contents and packaging details can differ between products. For example, Funko’s Five Nights at Freddy’s 4-Pack Series 3 listing describes four figures plus a mystery figure, with random item selection and possible duplicates. That is a detail of that assortment, not a general rule for all Bitty POP! packs.
Funko describes Bitty POP! figures as vinyl collectibles about 0.9 inches (2.3 cm) tall, packaged in hard acrylic cases with detachable bottom lids that can serve as bases. Some listings describe display cases that hold four figures and can be stacked. Treat those as product-reference details, not standalone proof of authenticity: a counterfeit could imitate a listed feature, and a difference needs to be assessed against the specific release.

If there is no Octane5 sticker, assess the purchase without guessing
Absence of the sticker alone does not prove a Bitty POP! is counterfeit. Funko’s 2024 announcement describes a rollout, and its product pages document authentication packaging for specific convention releases. The official material cited here does not provide a complete Bitty POP!-specific checklist for older, standard, or non-exclusive items.

- Compare the received item and packaging with the exact official product page, including pack contents and release designation.
- For a third-party listing, request clear photographs of every package side and the figure, and compare them with the matching official reference.
- If seller claims conflict with the official listing or the item received, use the marketplace’s return or dispute process and retain the listing, messages, and photographs.
Generic claims about Funko POP! production codes, paint, logos, country of manufacture, seller location, or price are not established here as definitive Bitty POP! tests. No single missing mark or cosmetic flaw should be treated as conclusive evidence of counterfeiting without Bitty POP!-specific corroboration.

What the available verification evidence can—and cannot—show
Funko’s stated purpose for Octane5 is to help verify a product through its QR code and unique item code. Its announcement does not provide a counterfeit-rate statistic, detection rate, or numerical authentication-accuracy figure. A successful or unsuccessful code check should therefore be considered alongside whether the code and package belong to the exact release being evaluated; do not infer a broader guarantee from Funko’s description of the technology.
When comparing two offers, assess the exact release and item reference, whether Funko documents Octane5 for that package version, whether a supplied code verifies for that item, the seller’s identity and return protections, and whether photos match the official listing. These are practical checks, not a validated scoring system.
