Which changes save the most battery?
The display and apps are good places to start. Android’s battery guidance recommends reducing brightness, setting the screen to turn off sooner, and reviewing battery use. The exact menu labels and paths can differ across Infinix phones.

- Dim the display: Lower brightness manually, or try automatic brightness if it works well for you.
- Shorten screen timeout: Choose a shorter interval before the display turns off when idle.
- Check app battery use: In Settings, search for “battery” or “battery usage.” Look for apps using an unusually large share of power, especially in the background. Restrict background activity only when appropriate; it can delay notifications or other work.

Turn on your phone’s battery-saving mode when the charge is low or you expect to be away from a charger. Android Battery Saver can limit background activity and may delay some app activity, features, or connections. That trade-off can help preserve charge, but it may affect how promptly apps update or notify you.

Some Infinix models use the name Power Marathon and may offer multiple power-saving modes or scenes. Infinix describes such features on its HOT 20 NFC Gulf product page and SMART 7 HD Senegal product page; those descriptions apply to those models, not necessarily to every Infinix phone.
- Open Settings and use its search function for “battery,” “Battery Saver,” or “Power Marathon.”
- Open the matching battery or power-saving result and check the available modes and descriptions.
- Choose the mode that suits your needs, bearing in mind that stronger restrictions may affect background apps or connections.
If Settings search does not find the feature, check your model’s manual or support information rather than assuming another Infinix model’s menu path applies.

Which activities and connections should you limit?
Navigation, video streaming, hotspot use, prolonged calls while moving, camera use, and graphics-heavy games can draw substantial power. When stretching a charge matters, reduce the duration of these activities where practical. Do not disable a safety, accessibility, or navigation feature you need just to conserve battery.
- Turn off Bluetooth or Location when you are not using them.
- Use Wi-Fi instead of mobile data when it is available and suitable.
- Use Airplane mode only when you do not need mobile connectivity; it disconnects the phone from cellular service.
How do heat and charging habits affect battery life?
Keep the phone from overheating, particularly during demanding use or while charging. Google’s Android guidance warns that a battery drains much faster when it is hot, even when the device is not in use, and that excess heat can damage the battery. Avoid leaving the phone in hot environments or combining charging with prolonged, demanding use if it causes the device to heat up.

You do not need to repeatedly drain the battery from full to empty to “train” its capacity. Google says an occasional discharge below 10% followed by a full overnight charge is an option, not a routine requirement for every charging session.
What if your Infinix battery is still draining unusually fast?
First identify whether one app or a recent change is responsible. Menu names vary, so use Settings search if the paths below are not visible.

- Restart the phone.
- In Settings, search for battery usage and inspect apps with unusually high consumption.
- Check for available Android, system, and app updates, then install relevant updates.
- If the problem persists, contact Infinix or your carrier for model-specific help.
- Consider a factory reset only as a last resort. It removes local data and apps, so back up anything important before proceeding.
How much can Infinix’s named power-saving features extend use?
Infinix’s product pages give examples for individual models, but their figures are manufacturer claims, not a promise of typical results across the brand. The HOT 20 NFC Gulf page claims up to three days of light use on one charge and 150 minutes of calling at 5% battery. The SMART 7 HD Senegal page claims up to two hours of calling at 5% in Ultra Power Saving Mode. The pages do not state publication dates, and the HOT 20 NFC page notes that results may vary with testing conditions. These figures should not be compared directly: the models, usage assumptions, and test contexts differ.
