To schedule website screenshots in PageCrawl.io, configure the workspace’s active days and hours under Settings > Workspace > Scheduling, then set a check frequency for each page separately. The schedule defines when checks may run; the page frequency defines how often each page is checked during those windows.
How PageCrawl scheduling works
PageCrawl applies a schedule to the whole workspace, not to one individual page. Checks pause on inactive days and outside the selected hours, then resume automatically at the next active period. The workspace timezone matters: PageCrawl converts the schedule’s hours to UTC based on that setting. Workspace scheduling is documented as a paid-plan feature. See PageCrawl’s Check Scheduling guide.

A schedule does not trigger a screenshot or alert at the moment its window opens. It limits when page checks can occur. The page’s check frequency determines when a change can be detected, and notifications follow a check that detects a change.

Set up a schedule and page checks
- Choose the active window. Decide which weekdays and hours matter for your monitoring goal. Restricting checks to useful periods can avoid checks when changes would not be actionable.
- Set the workspace timezone and schedule. In PageCrawl, open Settings > Workspace > Scheduling. Select the active weekdays and start and end times, and confirm that the workspace timezone is correct before saving. PageCrawl converts those hours to UTC. This is especially important for teams operating across time zones. See Advanced Configuration Options for Power Users.
- Set each page’s check frequency. Open a page’s editor and choose how often it should be checked. The scheduling guide lists intervals from every two minutes through monthly, with minimum intervals dependent on plan. The pricing page lists Free at hourly, Standard at every 15 minutes, Enterprise at every five minutes, and Ultimate at every two minutes. Confirm current plan limits in PageCrawl’s pricing before choosing a plan.
- Select what the monitor should detect. Choose visual tracking for layout, image, or chart changes. If your goal is a specific value or page content, use the corresponding price, restock, feed, or parsed-value monitoring option instead. The PageCrawl Browser Extension guide describes these monitor types.
- Choose notifications and retention. Set up the notification or integration that fits your workflow. PageCrawl lists Dropbox sync for screenshots and captured history on its integrations page. Check screenshot retention for your plan before treating PageCrawl as a long-term archive.
Choose a plan for frequency and screenshot history
Scheduling, page limits, check frequency, monthly checks, and screenshot retention are distinct plan considerations. The current pricing page gives these screenshot-storage details:
#1 Best Overall
| Plan | Minimum check interval listed | Screenshot storage listed |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Hourly | Last three screenshots |
| Standard | Every 15 minutes | 12 months |
| Enterprise | Every five minutes | Unlimited |
| Ultimate | Every two minutes | Unlimited |
These limits and inclusions can change; verify the current details on PageCrawl’s pricing page. Choose the slowest interval that can still catch a relevant change, and confirm that the plan’s page and monthly-check allowances cover your monitors.
Understand screenshots, alerts, and reports
Check frequency controls how often a page can be checked within its active schedule. Alert timing therefore depends on both the schedule and frequency: a change is not reported until an eligible check detects it. For a digest of detected changes, PageCrawl separately documents daily, weekly, or monthly reports; the help article identifies scheduled reports as a paid feature. Those reports are not the same thing as screenshot scheduling. See Daily, Weekly or Monthly Change Monitoring Reports.
Reliability and common troubleshooting
PageCrawl documents Default, Stealth, and Fast browser-engine modes for different page situations, but its documentation does not establish that every site will produce a successful screenshot on every scheduled check. Site rendering, access restrictions, and monitor setup can affect results. See Real Browser Monitoring and Engine Selection.

Rank #2
- No check outside the expected window: Confirm the workspace’s active weekdays, start/end times, and timezone. Checks are paused outside that window and resume during the next active period.
- Checks happen less often than expected: Review the individual page’s frequency as well as the plan’s minimum interval. The workspace schedule does not set the page’s interval.
- An alert did not arrive when the schedule started: Alerts follow a check that detects a change; the start of a schedule window is not itself an alert event. Confirm that the selected monitor tracks the change you care about.
- Old screenshots are no longer available: Check plan retention. The pricing page lists different storage periods by plan, so do not assume screenshots are retained indefinitely.
- A page is not captured successfully: Review the page’s access and rendering behavior, then consider whether a different documented engine mode is appropriate. The available documentation does not guarantee a successful capture for every site.

If you need an API call rather than scheduled monitoring, ScreenshotNeo returns a screenshot or PDF from one GET request. Here is a cURL example:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options. ScreenshotNeo removes cookie banners, popups, and chat widgets before capture; bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are never billed; an MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots; and 1,000 screenshots per month are free with no card, with paid plans starting at $5 for 3,000. Does PageCrawl schedule screenshots separately for each page?
No. The schedule is set for the workspace, while each page has its own check-frequency setting.
Rank #3
Are scheduled checks the same as scheduled reports?
No. Checks monitor pages during active windows; scheduled reports package detected changes into a digest.
How long does PageCrawl keep screenshots?
The pricing page lists the last three screenshots for Free, 12 months for Standard, and unlimited storage for Enterprise and Ultimate. Verify current plan details on the pricing page.
