In Selenium Python, bridge that promise with execute_async_script(), then call save_screenshot(). This waits for fonts used by the current page and their associated layout work; it does not prove every declared font loaded successfully or that a single-page app has finished changing its content.
Wait for web fonts before capturing
Use this pattern when the screenshot should reflect the page’s loaded web fonts. Replace the URL with the page you need to capture.

A completed driver.get() reflects Selenium’s configured navigation readiness milestone, not necessarily the end of every asynchronous action on the site. A page can load fonts later, and a single-page application may insert or restyle content after navigation completes. Selenium explains the limits of navigation readiness in its waits documentation.

document.fonts.ready resolves when fonts used in the current document have finished loading and the associated layout operations are complete. It does not require unused font faces declared with @font-face to be fetched. If the page changes after the promise resolves, wait for the relevant page condition and then wait for fonts again.
Wait for application-specific changes when needed
If the screenshot depends on content that appears or changes after navigation—such as a particular panel, status, or rendered result—wait for that condition separately. Selenium explicit waits poll for a specified condition until it becomes true or the timeout is reached; they are preferable to guessing a fixed sleep duration. See Selenium’s explicit-wait guidance.

driver.quit()Change the selector and timeout to match the application. If application code later changes the visible text or styling after the condition is met, wait for a condition that represents that later state, then run the font wait again before capture.

Check what the font wait does—and does not—guarantee
- Used fonts: the promise covers font loading used by the current document and its associated layout work.
- Unused declarations: a declared but unused font face may remain unloaded.
- Failed font requests: the browser may render fallback fonts. A resolved promise means font loading has settled, not that a particular brand face succeeded.
- Capture geometry: Selenium captures the current browsing context/window. Set the viewport and scroll position intentionally if they affect the image.
Troubleshooting
The screenshot still shows a fallback font
Inspect the page’s font loading status and browser network behavior. The readiness promise can resolve even when a desired resource failed and the browser settled on a fallback; it is not a success check for a named font.
Text or layout changes after the screenshot
The page may perform asynchronous work after navigation or after the font promise resolves. Add an explicit wait for the application state that must be visible, then await document.fonts.ready again if that state changes font usage or layout.

The screenshot captures the wrong area
Set the browser window size and scroll position before calling save_screenshot(). The call captures the current window; the font wait does not control viewport dimensions or scrolling.

Make sure the script invokes Selenium’s final callback. The example calls done() when document.fonts.ready resolves. If using a custom asynchronous script timeout, ensure it allows enough time for the page’s font work.

No. It signals that font loading and related layout work have settled; a failed request can still leave the page displaying a fallback font.
