While the website is open in Chrome, press your Android phone’s Power + Volume Down buttons together. For a longer capture, tap Capture more after taking the screenshot, if your phone offers it. These are Android screenshot controls; you do not need a special Chrome toolbar.
Take a screenshot of the visible page in Chrome
- Open the website in Chrome and navigate to the part of the page you want to capture.
- Press Power + Volume Down at the same time. On some phones, you can instead hold the Power button and tap Screenshot in the power menu.
- Tap the screenshot preview if you want to edit or share it. Otherwise, find it later in Photos or Gallery in the Screenshots collection or folder.
The button sequence is provided by Android, not by Chrome’s standard toolbar. Exact controls and menus can differ by phone maker and Android version. Google’s Android screenshot instructions cover the standard controls and finding captures.
Capture more than the visible screen
On Android 12 and later, take a screenshot with Power + Volume Down, then tap Capture more and adjust the crop guides to include more of the scrollable page. Google says this works on Android 12 and up on most screens that allow scrolling; it is not guaranteed for every website, browser surface, or phone.
If Capture more does not appear, check your Android version and your phone maker’s instructions. Google’s guidance does not establish a universal Chrome-specific long-screenshot command for every device or page. Read Google’s guidance on scrolling screenshots.

Choose the right kind of capture

Capture a full-size page with desktop Chrome
If you specifically need a full-page image and have access to a computer, Chrome DevTools can capture a page beyond the visible viewport while simulating a mobile screen.
- Open the page in desktop Chrome, then open DevTools.
- Turn on the Device Toolbar and select a responsive or device-sized mobile viewport.
- In the Device Toolbar, open More options and choose Capture a full size screenshot. The separate Capture screenshot command captures only the current viewport.
Device Mode is an approximation, not an actual phone. Use the Android method when the image needs to show the specific handset’s appearance or behavior. See Chrome for Developers’ Device Mode documentation.

Troubleshoot missing or failed screenshots
- Capture more is missing: It requires Android 12 or later and is available on most, not all, scrollable screens. Check your Android version and device maker’s instructions.
- The screenshot does not save: Check available storage and look in the Screenshots folder or collection in Photos or Gallery. Google identifies full storage and faulty buttons as possible causes.
- Screenshot capture is blocked: Some browsers restrict screenshots in Incognito, and some apps do not allow screenshots. Try a permitted page or a regular browsing window if appropriate.
- Power + Volume Down does not work: Button behavior can differ by manufacturer. Consult the phone maker’s instructions; the Power-button menu may offer a Screenshot option.
