Set your phone to the orientation you want before taking the screenshot: portrait for a tall, narrow view or landscape for a wider one. A standard screenshot captures what is currently on screen; for a longer webpage, use the phone’s scrolling-capture feature if it is available in that browser and on that device.
Choose the orientation before you capture
Open the website in your phone’s browser and rotate the phone to the view you want. If the screen stays in portrait, check that rotation is enabled. The browser or app must also support landscape; a phone setting cannot make an app rotate if the app does not allow it.

- Portrait: Keep the phone upright. This produces a narrow, tall view of the page.
- Landscape: Unlock rotation, then turn the phone sideways. The page may reflow to fit the wider screen.
Take a screenshot on iPhone
- Open the website in Safari and navigate to the part of the page you want.
- For an iPhone with Face ID, quickly press and release the Side button and Volume Up together. On an iPhone with a Home button, quickly press and release Side and Home together. Apple’s iPhone screenshot instructions cover the button combinations and saving options.
- Tap the screenshot preview if you want to edit or save it. For a supported webpage capture, choose Full Page in the preview. Apple gives an entire Safari webpage as an example of content that extends beyond the screen; Full Page is not offered in every context. You can save that capture as an image or PDF.
Switch between portrait and landscape
Open Control Center by swiping down from the top-right corner, then turn Portrait Orientation Lock off. Close Control Center and turn the phone sideways. If the display does not rotate, try a landscape-compatible app such as Safari; some apps do not support rotation. See Apple’s screen-rotation guidance.

Take a screenshot on Android, including Pixel
- Open the website and position the page. Press Power + Volume Down together to take a screenshot. On some devices, you can hold Power and tap Screenshot instead.
- To capture more of a scrollable page, take the screenshot and tap Capture more if it appears. Adjust the crop guides to include the section you need.
- For landscape, open Quick Settings and enable Auto-rotate, then turn the phone sideways. You can also look under Settings > Display & touch > Auto-rotate screen. Menu labels can differ by device.
Google documents Capture more for Android 12 and later on most screens that allow scrolling; the option may not appear for every website, screen, or device. Google’s screenshot instructions and rotation guidance describe the general steps.

On devices using Google Photos’ documented workflow, find captures under Collections > On this device > Screenshots. Older Android versions and other manufacturers may use Gallery or a different folder.
Take a screenshot on Samsung Galaxy
- Open the website and press Power/Side + Volume Down, then release after a brief moment.
- For a long capture, tap the Scroll capture icon, shown as two downward arrows, after the standard screenshot. Tap again as needed to include more content, if the control remains available.
- If the phone will not rotate, enable the screen-rotation setting and turn the phone sideways. The menu name varies by Galaxy model and software.
Samsung says screenshots are in Gallery under Albums > Screenshots. The available screens and screenshot controls can vary by model, carrier, and software; some apps or screens block screenshots for privacy or security. See Samsung’s screenshot instructions.

When the long-screenshot option is missing
A long capture is a device feature, not a guarantee that every mobile browser can save an entire webpage. Try the following:
- Confirm that the page or screen can scroll, then take a fresh screenshot and check its preview for the long-capture control.
- On Android, remember that Google documents Capture more for Android 12 and later and most scrollable screens—not all screens.
- On Samsung Galaxy, check whether the model and software support Scroll capture. Some apps may block captures altogether.
- On iPhone, use Full Page when it appears in the screenshot preview; Apple’s documented example is a Safari webpage.
- If the option still does not appear, use several ordinary screenshots or view the page in a supported browser or app. Check the manufacturer’s instructions for your exact model and software.

Can every phone take a full-page screenshot of a website?
No. Long-capture controls depend on the phone, software, screen, and app. Use Full Page, Capture more, or Scroll capture only when the option is offered.

A browser may reflow the page to fit the wider viewport, so text, columns, and menus can shift compared with portrait.
