To capture a whole webpage in Microsoft Edge, open it and press Ctrl+Shift+S, choose Capture full page, review the result, then copy or save it. Microsoft now calls the feature Screenshot in some materials, while other instructions and browser versions may still say Web Capture.
Take a full-page screenshot in Edge
- Open the webpage you want to capture in Microsoft Edge.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+S. Or open the Settings and more menu and choose Screenshot or Web capture. Microsoft also documents opening Screenshot from the right-click menu.
- Choose Capture full page to capture content beyond the visible screen. For only part of the page, choose Capture area and select the region.
- Review the capture in the overlay. Use its available markup, copy, or save options to finish.
Menu names and available actions can vary by Edge version, device, and market. Microsoft’s Screenshot Tool in Microsoft Edge page describes the current Screenshot name and the full-page workflow; its Learning Center instructions still use Web Capture.

What to do if the shortcut or option is missing
- Check the menus: Look under Settings and more or right-click the page. The feature may be labeled Screenshot or Web capture.
- Check managed-device restrictions: An organization can disable the feature through Edge policy. Microsoft’s WebCaptureEnabled policy documentation says the Screenshot command appears in the context menu, Settings and more menu, and via the shortcut when the policy is enabled or not configured.
- Confirm you want webpage content, not a screen image: Edge’s full-page capture is for webpage content that extends beyond the viewport. Windows Snipping Tool captures the visible screen, a window, or a selected region instead.
Choose the right capture workflow

Printing and full-page screenshotting are different: Print creates a page-oriented document output, while Screenshot/Web Capture creates an image capture.
