What Samsung Internet can sync
Samsung’s current U.S. Galaxy guide says its Sync with Samsung feature syncs bookmarks, history, and settings. Samsung Cloud support pages list bookmarks, saved pages, open tabs, and shortcuts (called “Quick Launch shortcuts” in Samsung Australia’s documentation). These lists differ, so use the categories shown in your own browser or Samsung account settings rather than assuming every type of data is available on every device. Samsung also notes that supported items can vary by device, operating system, and country.

Samsung describes Cloud sync as matching data across devices using the same Samsung account. Its general explanation says that when synced content is edited or deleted on one device, that change is reflected on other devices signed into the account. That describes Samsung Cloud sync generally; it is not a promise that every browser category or configuration behaves identically.
Turn on sync on a Galaxy phone or tablet
- On each device, install Samsung Browser (also known as Samsung Internet) if needed, and sign in to the same Samsung account.
- Open Samsung Browser, tap Tools (the three vertical dots), then go to Settings > Sync with Samsung.
- Sign in if prompted, then enable the sync option or categories you want. Samsung’s current U.S. guide documents this route for Galaxy phones and tablets.
- On a second device, open the browser’s bookmark list and check for the synced items. Check any other categories your settings screen offers as well.

If “Sync with Samsung” is missing
Samsung’s menu labels differ across software generations and regions. On some devices, browser sync is managed from the Samsung account or Samsung Cloud settings instead:
- Open device Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts.
- Tap your Samsung account > Sync account.
- Look for Samsung Internet or Samsung Browser, and turn its sync toggle on. If your device offers Sync Now, tap it to start a sync.
Some versions expose the controls through Samsung Cloud instead. Look for the browser entry in its sync settings. The wording and availability of these paths can vary by device, operating system, carrier, and country; Samsung’s Cloud backup and sync guidance describes the settings route and notes that availability varies.

Use Samsung Browser on a Windows PC
Samsung promotes a Windows PC version of Samsung Browser and says it can sync bookmarks, history, and more and let you continue browsing on other devices. Its official Samsung Browser site does not establish detailed PC setup steps or that every mobile sync category is available on Windows. Follow the options shown in the PC app, and compare its offered categories with the settings on your Galaxy devices rather than assuming feature parity.
Fix common sync problems
- Devices use different accounts: Check the Samsung account signed in on each device. Samsung identifies the same account as the basis for matching Cloud-synced data.
- Sync is off: Check both Sync with Samsung in the browser and the Samsung account or Cloud sync list in device settings. Use Sync Now if that control appears.
- The menu or browser entry is absent: Check the options available on that device. Samsung cautions that settings paths and supported items vary by device, operating system, carrier, and country.
- You are looking for a backup: Device backup and restore is separate from ongoing browser synchronization. For browser data to stay in step across devices, check the browser or account sync control. Samsung Australia documents backup/restore separately from Cloud sync.
- The data came from Secret mode: Samsung’s UK guidance says Secret mode browsing does not save data. The current U.S. sync guide does not specify cross-device handling for Secret mode, so do not rely on sync to recover private-session browsing.

Check the sync setup across devices
When comparing a phone, tablet, or Windows PC, verify three things on each endpoint: that Samsung Browser is available, that the same Samsung account is signed in, and that the sync screen offers the categories you want. Samsung documents a Windows app, but its support information does not establish that all device combinations or data categories are identical.
