Why a Warriors game is blacked out on League Pass
In the US, NBA League Pass does not provide live access to games blacked out for your local NBA team or games shown nationally. Which teams count as local depends on your current location, so the restriction can differ when you travel. League Pass is therefore most useful for live games outside your local market that are not being shown nationally. A blackout does not mean the game has no legal streaming option; it means you need the broadcaster assigned to that game and available at your address.
How to find the live Warriors broadcast
- Check the game listing. Look at the current Warriors schedule for the broadcaster named for that matchup. The Warriors’ 2025–26 schedule includes NBCSBA and national broadcast labels, but assignments vary by game and season.
- Check your ZIP code in League Pass. Use the ZIP-code checker on the NBA League Pass page to see which local restrictions apply where you are.
- Match the blackout to the outlet. If it is a local telecast, look for the regional sports network or local broadcaster carrying the Warriors in your ZIP code. If it is nationally televised, use the national outlet listed for that game.
- Confirm service availability at your address. A channel or app may not be carried by every TV or streaming provider in every area. Check the provider’s current channel lineup and package details before subscribing; there is no single provider or price that applies to every ZIP code.
Which outlets may carry a nationally televised Warriors game?
For the 2025–26 season, the NBA’s national broadcast partners include ABC and ESPN, NBC and Peacock, and Amazon Prime Video. The NBA’s 2025–26 viewing guide explains the season’s agreements. Check the specific game listing rather than assuming one service carries every national game.

The Warriors’ schedule is a useful starting point, not a permanent guide to future seasons. Broadcast rights and assignments can change, so use the current season’s listing and confirm that the named channel or service is included in your local provider’s offer.
When a League Pass replay becomes available
If you cannot watch live, the NBA says a locally televised blacked-out game becomes available on League Pass on demand three days after the live broadcast concludes. A nationally broadcast game becomes available at 6:00 a.m. ET the following day. The delay depends on the type of blackout, according to the NBA’s blackout guidance.

What to do if the blackout seems incorrect
First recheck the ZIP code and the game’s broadcaster. If the app appears to be applying the wrong location, the NBA directs viewers to troubleshoot the app or contact support. A VPN or other location-spoofing method is not a reliable fix: NBA blackout rules use location signals, and changing them does not grant broadcast rights for a restricted game.
Can a Fire TV Stick get around a blackout?
No. The NBA lists Amazon Fire TV and Fire Stick among devices that support the NBA app, so a compatible stick can be a way to watch available League Pass content on a television. It does not provide the rights to a blacked-out live game or change which broadcaster carries it. Device support is listed in the NBA’s 2025–26 viewing FAQ.

Note for viewers in Canada
The steps above describe US rules. The NBA says Canada has different blackout rules: nationally broadcast games are blacked out on League Pass, with replays available roughly three hours after the game; Sportsnet or TSN are identified as national viewing alternatives. Check the NBA’s blackout guidance for the applicable Canadian details rather than applying the US local-team instructions.
