The service handles the outgoing stream, so your computer and home internet connection do not have to stay on. First confirm your channel can livestream, choose a service that supports continuous YouTube output, connect your channel or stream key, and monitor the broadcast.
What a cloud 24/7 stream does
A cloud streaming service takes prerecorded video and delivers it to YouTube as a live broadcast. Depending on the service, you may upload video files, select files from connected storage, or arrange a playlist. The cloud service then handles the ongoing encoder output. Viewers see a YouTube Live stream, not a regular on-demand upload.

YouTube’s encoder guide lists Gyre as a cloud tool for continuous prerecorded-video streaming and Upstream as a cloud studio for 24/7 live streaming. Those are descriptions in YouTube’s directory, not independent reliability tests. YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation, updated September 14, 2026, also describes a 24/7 feed as an ongoing broadcast. That confirms this is a supported broadcast pattern, but does not guarantee that a third-party service will remain uninterrupted.
Check channel eligibility before setting anything up
- Your channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction during the preceding 90 days.
- YouTube says the first-time activation of live streaming can take up to 24 hours, so enable it before your planned launch.
- YouTube’s general live-streaming guidance says streamers must be at least 16 years old.
- All livestream content must follow YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Prerecorded video is not exempt: you remain responsible for the rights to the material, policy compliance, and accurately describing what viewers are watching.
See YouTube’s Get started with live streaming guidance and its encoder setup guide for current platform instructions.

- Compact but Powerful Design: ZowieBox is smaller than a phone, featuring a tally light and LCD screen for streaming status. Capture console gameplay in up to 4K with zero-lag HDMI passthrough, while the built-in video encoder converts video for IP streaming. The IP stream can also be decoded back to a 4K HDMI signal.
- Standalone Game Streaming: Just plug and play—ZowieBox enables PC-free live gaming without affecting gameplay. As an RTMP hardware encoder and HDMI streamer, it delivers stable streaming directly from your source, making it ideal for gaming, live events, and professional broadcasting.
- NDI|HX3 Converter Technology: ZowieBox converts HDMI signals to NDI|HX3/HX2/HX, functioning as an NDI video encoder, or NDI Video Decoder for flexible IP workflows. Certified NDI technology enables low-latency gameplay streaming through OBS/vMix. Note: Encoder and decoder modes cannot run simultaneously; full NDI signals are not supported.
- UVC to HDMI Conversion: Supporting up to 4K@30fps and 1080p@60fps decoding, ZowieBox enables flexible conversion for webcam and video workflows. As a video decoder and HDMI to IP converter, it expands connectivity options for professional video devices. Note: USB capture card functionality is not currently supported.
- All-around Configuration Options: Control ZowieBox through its web UI on a PC, phone, or tablet. Manage connected PTZ cameras, tally light, video/audio, OSD, work mode, streams, network, and system settings. Support for VISCA over IP encoder workflows enables flexible PTZ control, while the dashboard provides video preview and system status.
Choose a cloud service that fits the broadcast
Compare the actual workflow and limits before uploading a large library or committing to a long run. Check the provider’s current plan, maximum schedule duration, supported file formats and resolutions, storage, playlist controls, monitoring, recovery behavior, and total cost. Provider descriptions are not evidence of comparative uptime.
| Service or option | What the cited source describes | Best fit | Check before choosing |

It says the feature requires Enterprise and each schedule can run for up to 30 days. | A creator who wants to select files from a device, OneStream storage, or cloud storage and schedule a bounded run. | Current Enterprise pricing, what happens at the 30-day limit, storage, and interruption handling. |
| AJA HELO Plus | YouTube describes its PlayToStream feature as scheduling prerecorded media to YouTube Live without a computer. It is hardware, not a cloud service. | A creator who specifically prefers a physical encoder. | Hardware cost, media capacity, workflow, and remote-monitoring requirements. |
Set up a cloud broadcast step by step
- Enable YouTube Live. Sign in to the channel that will host the broadcast, verify eligibility, and enable live streaming if it has not been used before. Allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- Select a service and verify its limits. Confirm that it supports YouTube and continuous or 24/7 output, and that its duration, file, storage, resolution, playlist, and monitoring limits match your plan. Do not infer features from a general “live streaming” label alone.
- Prepare and upload the video. Use the service’s supported formats and check that audio is present and video plays as expected. If the service supports playlists, arrange the sequence and looping behavior before going live.
- Connect the YouTube channel. Follow the provider’s connection flow. If you are using an encoder-style workflow, create a stream in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, then enter YouTube’s Live server URL and stream key in the encoder. Treat the stream key as a credential: do not publish or share it, and replace it if it is exposed.
- Set the broadcast details and start time. Enter an accurate title, description, audience setting, and other required stream details in the provider or YouTube workflow. In OneStream Live’s documented flow, you choose videos from a device, OneStream storage, or cloud storage, connect the YouTube channel, and schedule a start time and duration; its 24/7 feature requires Enterprise and allows up to 30 days per schedule.
- Check the actual YouTube output. Open the public or unlisted watch page and confirm that video and audio are playing, the title is accurate, and playback continues across a video transition. A successful connection in the provider dashboard alone does not prove that viewers receive healthy output.
- Monitor the run. Establish a way to notice interruption, frozen or silent output, and credential or ingest errors. YouTube’s live-streaming tips recommend continuously monitoring audio and video quality during an event; for a 24/7 run, make that monitoring operational rather than assuming the stream is healthy.
Plan around YouTube’s archive limit
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume that one continuous stream longer than 12 hours will be saved as a complete replay. If you need an archive, plan a local or provider-side recording, use shorter broadcast segments, or arrange another recording workflow, then verify how that setup stores and exposes the recording.

Troubleshoot common failures
- You cannot start a live broadcast: Check channel verification, live-stream eligibility, and whether the channel had a restriction in the previous 90 days. If live streaming was only just enabled, allow up to 24 hours.
- The provider says live, but YouTube is not receiving video: Confirm the selected YouTube channel, server URL, and stream key. If you changed or replaced the key in YouTube Studio, update it in the provider too.
- The stream connects but shows a frozen picture or silence: Check the source file’s playback and audio, then inspect the outgoing YouTube watch page. Verify the file is supported by the provider and test a transition to the next playlist item.
- A scheduled run ends sooner than expected: Check the plan’s schedule-duration cap. OneStream Live’s documented 24/7 schedule is limited to 30 days; do not assume schedules renew or restart automatically.
- A long broadcast has no complete replay: YouTube’s automatic archive guidance applies to streams under 12 hours. Use a separate recording plan or shorter broadcasts if a replay is required.
- YouTube removes, restricts, or age-gates the stream: Review the channel’s policy status and the rights and suitability of every video, audio track, and other material in the playlist. Replaying a file does not remove the operator’s responsibility for its contents.
