Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFirst identify what is adding the unwanted item: a single event invitation or an unwanted subscribed calendar. Report and delete an invitation; unsubscribe from a calendar that keeps supplying events. The steps and available labels vary by device, operating-system version, and calendar provider.
Check whether it is an invitation or a subscribed calendar
If one unfamiliar event appears, open it and look for a junk-report option. If a calendar contains multiple unwanted events, or keeps adding them, remove the calendar subscription instead. These actions solve different problems: deleting one event does not remove a subscribed calendar, and hiding a calendar does not unsubscribe from it.

Report an individual event
On an iPhone running iOS 26 or later, open the unwanted event, tap Report Junk, then tap Delete and Report Junk. This is Apple’s documented flow for an event from an unknown contact. Use it when the option appears; labels and availability may differ in other versions or with other calendar providers. Avoid accepting or declining an unfamiliar invitation just to clear it.
Unsubscribe from an unwanted calendar
- Open the Calendar app and tap Calendars.
- Tap the information button beside the calendar you do not want.
- Tap Unsubscribe. If offered, choose Unsubscribe and Report Junk to report it as a suspected junk subscription.
Apple documents this subscription workflow for iPhone and iPad. If you cannot remove a calendar, deselect it in the calendar list to hide its events. Hiding only removes the calendar from view; it does not unsubscribe or report it. See Apple’s guide to using calendar subscriptions.

Apple’s documented Report Junk event-removal instructions here are specifically for iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Report a suspected junk iCloud invitation on iCloud.com
For an invitation in iCloud Calendar, sign in to iCloud.com on a tablet or computer, open the event, and choose Report Junk. Apple says the event is automatically deleted from Calendar on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. This guidance applies to iCloud Calendar; it is not a universal reporting route for invitations managed by other calendar providers. See Apple’s iCloud Calendar instructions.

If the unwanted events remain
- Only one event is unwanted: open that event and use Report Junk if offered; deleting it alone does not remove a calendar subscription.
- Many events come from one calendar: unsubscribe from that calendar, using the report-junk choice if it appears.
- You hid a calendar but still have the subscription: deselecting it only hides it. Return to its information or context menu and choose Unsubscribe to remove it.
- The iCloud.com route is unavailable: it is documented for iCloud Calendar invitations, not every third-party calendar account. Use the controls provided by the account or app that manages the calendar.
