What’s actually slowing this PC down?

First find out where the repeat happens: in a viewer’s YouTube player, or in the video being sent by your broadcast software. Turn off YouTube’s Loop control for viewer playback. If the repeated item is in the live broadcast itself, change the loop or playlist settings on the active OBS media source.
Find the layer that is repeating
Ask whether the repeated item appears only for one person watching, or whether it is also part of the live broadcast output. YouTube’s Loop/Repeat control affects playback in the YouTube player; it does not control the prerecorded files OBS sends to a live stream. YouTube’s help page on looping videos and playlists describes viewer playback controls, while OBS documents the controls on its media sources.

Turn off repeat in a YouTube player
If the repetition is only in your playback, disable the player’s Loop/Repeat control. YouTube’s loop feature is a viewing setting for videos and playlists; changing it will not alter the broadcaster’s OBS playlist or the content being transmitted.
Fix a repeated item in OBS
Open the scene currently feeding the live broadcast and identify the source that plays the file or files. OBS has two relevant source types: Media Source for an individual file and VLC Video Source for a playlist.
#1 Best Overall
- [XLR Mic Input] One XLR microphone input interface is set on the gaming audio mixer, which is great to up your audio quality with your XLR setup. The XLR mixer is a stepping stone to upgrade your live streaming. Audio mixer offered built-in 48V phantom power which opens up more choices for mics. Directly use it with your condenser microphone but do not solve added peripherals. (NOT available for USB mic)
- [Individual Channel Control] Gaming audio mixer for one mic recording with smooth volume slider fader take your streaming recording to a whole new level with full pleasure. Four independent channels set on the DJ mixer give audio volume of the MICROPHONE, LINE IN, HEADPHONE, and LINE OUT channels individual control. Configurable on the PC audio mixer instead of just operating on your game or streaming software.
- [Mute and Monitor] The front mute and monitor buttons but not at the back, make it easier to get the audio interface use. Ability to mute audio, the audio mixer for streaming prevents background noise from damaging your live broadcast. Real-time feedback between speaking and hearing will not distract your attention, which encourage you to speak more confidently. The sturdy-built control button allow you to operate freely and easily during live streaming.
- [Sound Effects] The computer sound mixer supports four pre-recorded customized button that can be recorded and activated at the press of button to post production. 6 kinds of voice changing modes change your output style. 12 auto tune changes the tone of your voice. The podcast mixer being able to add different and fun effects is a huge bonus for your streaming or game voice.
- [Controllable Vibrant RGB] RGB button on the audio mixer DJ meets different live streaming themes. Lights on the video mixer is vibrant but not harsh on your eyes. Flowing or frozen RGB color rotation in a decent pace presents a greatly strong impression as a "light show" to your audience. Even a streaming equipment accessory will not be dull looking when video production.
One file repeats: check Media Source
- In OBS, select the scene that is sending the video.
- In Sources, select the relevant Media Source and open its properties.
- Check the Loop property. Turn it off if you want the file to play once rather than restart after it ends.
- Confirm the source is the one visible in the live output, then test playback before relying on the change during a broadcast.
A playlist repeats or plays the wrong item: check VLC Video Source
- In the active OBS scene, open the properties for the VLC Video Source.
- Confirm the intended files are in its playlist and in the order you expect.
- Check Loop Playlist. It controls whether the source starts again after it runs out of media files; turn it off if the playlist should end.
- Check Shuffle Playlist. Turn it off to follow list order, or on to randomize playback.
- Test the playlist in the scene before making changes during a live broadcast.
The VLC Video Source requires VLC to be installed. OBS also specifies that 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC. If the source is missing from OBS, check that VLC is installed and that its architecture matches OBS.
If repetition starts after switching scenes
Open the VLC Video Source properties and inspect Visibility Behaviour. OBS says this setting determines whether the source continues, pauses, or stops when it is not visible. The documented default is “Stop when not visible, restart when visible.” If the source restarts when you change scenes, adjust this setting as appropriate and test the result before using it live.

Changing a playlist during a live stream
A user on the OBS Project forum reported that adding a file to a VLC playlist during a running stream restarted playback at the first video. That is an individual report, not evidence that every playlist edit will do this. To reduce risk, test edits before the broadcast or make them when a restart would be acceptable. Read the OBS forum report.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesEmbedded YouTube players are a separate case
If you manage a website embed rather than an OBS broadcast, the embedded player has its own URL parameters. Google’s documentation says loop=1 repeats a playlist after it reaches the first video. For a single embedded video, it documents setting the playlist parameter to the same video ID used in the URL path, along with loop=1. These parameters affect the embedded player, not the video source OBS sends to a live broadcast. See Google’s embedded-player parameter documentation.
