Complete the entire campaign on any difficulty to unlock New Game+ in 007 First Light. You can then replay from the campaign beginning or any completed checkpoint, using unlocked outfits and—once the story has introduced them—unlocked gadgets. The feature arrived in the free Extended Operations update on October 1, 2026.
How to unlock and start New Game+
- Finish the full campaign. Any difficulty qualifies; the requirement is a completed playthrough of the entire campaign.
- Choose a replay start. Once NG+ is unlocked, you can begin at the campaign opening or at any completed checkpoint.
- Use the journal during the replay. IOI says the journal lets you change outfits and restart from a selected checkpoint. Its published instructions do not specify the exact menu path or button sequence for launching NG+, so those details may depend on the game’s interface and are not stated in the official feature notes.

What carries over in a New Game+ replay?
The official description promises access to your unlocked outfits and gadgets during the replay, but access works differently for each. It does not provide a complete list of every campaign item, collectible, challenge, or statistic that persists or resets.

The gadget restriction matters if you expect to use the full kit from the opening mission: NG+ adds flexibility, not access to story-locked inventions ahead of their introduction. See the Update 1.3.0 patch notes for IOI’s description of journal and gadget behavior.

Is 00 difficulty required?
No. Completing the campaign on any difficulty unlocks NG+, and you can replay with unlocked outfits and gadgets on Easy, Normal, or Hard. NG+ also unlocks 00 difficulty as an optional, more demanding challenge.
On 00, enemies react faster, guard variants are tougher, gadget use is restricted by line of sight, combat can end in two hits, parry and sidestep timing is tighter, and combat awards less agency. The official announcement describes these changes as the 00 challenge rules; it does not make 00 a prerequisite for NG+.

NG+ is not cross-platform progression
New Game+ describes replaying a campaign on a platform. Cross-progression is a separate feature for sharing eligible account data between linked platforms, and its exclusions should not be read as a list of what resets inside a local NG+ run.

IOI’s cross-progression support article, updated September 15, 2026, says supported linked platforms share Tac Sim XP, clearance level, inventory, challenge progress, unlocks, and IOI Account rewards. Campaign saves and progression, collectibles, achievements or trophies, and leaderboards do not transfer between platforms. DLC-based unlocks and game licenses require ownership of the relevant content on each platform.

The article lists PC (Epic Games Store, Steam, and Microsoft Store), Xbox Series S/X, and PlayStation 5 as supported platforms. It says details for Switch 2 cross-progression would come later. These platform-sharing rules do not settle whether any of those categories carries over within a New Game+ replay on the same platform.

IO Interactive introduced New Game+, Photo Mode, and 00 difficulty in the free Extended Operations DLC, Update 1.3.0, released October 1, 2026. The update also included Tac Sim additions. The patch notes report more than 700 fixes and improvements across issues such as crashes, progression blockers, clipping, audio, localization, and interface polish; that figure describes the update broadly, not NG+ behavior.
