Prioritize influence rewards that help your current squad or campaign plan, then build toward one useful tier at a time. A September 2026 third-party guide reports three influence tiers in each of 12 zones, with thresholds of 20, 30, and 50 influence; treat those figures as guide-reported, not officially confirmed, and check the in-game interface for current values.
What influence does—and why allocation matters
Electronic Arts describes Star Wars Zero Company as a single-player, turn-based tactics game set near the end of the Clone Wars. You lead Hawks and a squad of unconventional operatives through missions and investigations, while making decisions at the Den and across the campaign. Influence is tracked by zone, so deciding where to build it is part of managing campaign opportunities rather than simply collecting a universal score.

Deployments advance the campaign timer, according to a September 4, 2026 review by WayTooManyGames. That means an influence opportunity can compete with another mission or operation. Before committing time, consider both the next reward and what you would give up by not pursuing another available objective.

How the reported influence tiers work
A September 2, 2026 guide from Power Up Gaming reports 12 zones, each with three reward tiers:
#1 Best Overall

- Customise Hawks and your operatives, tailor loadouts and unlock powerful squad synergies designed for Strategy, Turn-Based and Sci-Fi fans.
| Tier | Guide-reported influence threshold | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 20 influence | Consider this early threshold when the zone’s reward supports your current needs. |
| Tier 2 | 30 influence | Compare its reward with the cost of continuing to invest in that zone. |
| Tier 3 | 50 influence | Commit when the higher-tier reward is worth the additional investment and campaign opportunity cost. |
These are the guide’s reported thresholds, not figures confirmed by the official EA pages cited here. Game updates can change mechanics, so use the current in-game influence interface as the final reference.
A practical way to choose where influence goes
- Inspect the available zone rewards. Identify rewards that address an immediate squad or campaign priority instead of assuming every zone is equally valuable.
- Choose a reachable tier. Compare the influence needed for the next threshold with the reward it unlocks. A useful Tier 1 can be a better target than spreading points among zones without reaching a meaningful reward.
- Weigh the deployment opportunity. Check which missions and operations are available, then consider the timer cost and consequences of choosing one over another.
- Build where you can make progress. Power Up Gaming reports that completing operations and using contacts can raise influence, and that Networking upgrades can increase influence gained from contacts. The guide recommends prioritizing useful early Tier 1 rewards rather than distributing influence evenly. These are third-party recommendations, not independently tested or official mechanics guidance.
- Reassess after each opportunity. Once a reward, operation, or contact changes your options, compare the next threshold and available objectives again rather than following an allocation plan that no longer fits.
How to compare zones without a complete reward list
The cited guide does not provide a complete zone-by-zone reward table, so there is no evidence-based universal ranking of zones. Make the decision using the details visible in your game:

- Single-player turn-based tactics set in the twilight of the Clone Wars—lead Hawks and Zero Company in a gritty, cinematic Star Wars campaign.
- Next reward: What does the next tier provide, and does it help with your present plan?
- Remaining influence: How much more is needed to reach that tier, using the current in-game value?
- Campaign fit: Does the zone’s reward support the squad or campaign direction you have chosen?
- Time tradeoff: What mission or operation might you delay or forgo while pursuing the influence opportunity?
This approach follows the guide’s emphasis on useful early rewards and the review’s account of a timer that makes deployment choices consequential; it avoids assuming that a particular zone is always best.
