The documented steps are to enable Developer Options inside the app, turn on that setting, and choose a target device. This changes neither GPS location nor every identifier, and it may not work with a particular app.
What “spoof device” means here
This method concerns a reported Android device model or identity. It is not a universal way to change every device identifier, and the available guide does not establish which persistent identifiers, if any, the feature changes. It also does not change your GPS location. Location simulation and geofencing are separate mobile-security topics, as MITRE’s mobile location-tracking documentation illustrates.

The procedure below comes from DroidWin’s guide, updated September 8, 2026. The guide describes Shizuku Plus as a fork of Shizuku with a different package name. Its distribution and current behavior have not been independently verified here, so install it only from a source you trust and review its permissions.
How to enable Spoof Device Identity without root
- Install and set up Shizuku Plus. Follow the app’s setup instructions. The guide does not establish supported Android versions or a complete list of compatible devices.
- Open the app’s settings. Tap About, then tap Version seven times to reveal the app’s Developer Options.
- Enable the identity setting. In Developer Options, turn on Spoof Device Identity.
- Choose a target. Select a Target Device from the available choices.
- Check the specific app. Test the app you care about and confirm its behavior directly; selecting a model does not guarantee that the app will recognize or accept it.
These steps reflect the procedure in DroidWin’s Shizuku Plus guide. The source does not establish that the setting defeats device-integrity checks or changes every identifier apps may inspect.

What to expect—and what may not work
DroidWin author Sadique Hassan reports mixed results: the setting helped install apps specifically intended for Google devices on a OnePlus, but did not enable installation of several other Google apps. The guide also describes the feature as experimental. That account is not a guarantee for other phones, apps, or versions.
Use identity changes only for legitimate testing. The available sources do not establish the legal or service-policy consequences for any particular app, nor whether a particular app’s security checks will accept the changed model information. Do not use the setting to misrepresent eligibility, bypass app rules, or defeat security checks.

Should you use an emulator instead?
If your goal is to see how an app behaves in different software configurations, Android’s official Android Emulator documentation describes a virtual environment for running apps. An emulator is a testing alternative, not a way to change a physical phone’s identity.

Keep GPS spoofing separate
If you mean changing the location an app sees, this device-model procedure is the wrong tool: it does not set a mock location. GPS spoofing and mock-location setup involve different Android settings and can raise separate app-policy and security concerns.
