To print a full-page screenshot at a readable size across several sheets, place the screenshot on a single oversized PDF page and use a PDF viewer’s poster or tiling print option. In Adobe Acrobat, choose Print > Poster, then check the preview and adjust the tile scale and overlap. If you want a readable printout of the webpage rather than a faithful copy of its screen appearance, use the browser’s Print or Save as PDF flow instead.
Choose between a faithful screenshot and a readable webpage
These are different print jobs. A screenshot is a fixed image: tiling it across sheets preserves its appearance, but the result may need trimming and assembly. Printing the live webpage lets the browser paginate its print layout, which may reflow or omit elements that appeared onscreen.

- Choose PDF tiling when matching the screenshot matters and you are willing to print several sheets.
- Choose browser printing when you want a conventional, readable document and can accept a layout different from the screen.
Print one tall screenshot across multiple sheets
- Save the full-page screenshot as an image. Keep the original file so you can retry at a different scale without capturing the page again. - Put the image on one tall PDF page if needed. The goal is a single oversized page that the PDF viewer can tile. Do not assume that opening an image in any viewer will automatically split it into printable pages; behavior depends on the application.
- Open the PDF print dialog in Acrobat. Under Page Sizing & Handling, choose Poster. Adobe documents this option for splitting one large PDF page across multiple sheets: Print large-sized documents as posters in Acrobat.
- Set the tile scale and assembly options. Tile Scale changes the printed size and therefore the number of sheets. Set Overlap if you want adjoining sheets to share an edge for alignment. Cut marks and Labels can help with assembly where available.
- Inspect the preview before printing. Confirm the page count, orientation, text size, and where important content falls at sheet boundaries. If alignment or legibility matters, print a small test first.
Acrobat’s Multiple option is not the same as Poster: Multiple places several existing PDF pages on each sheet, while Poster divides one oversized page across sheets. Adobe’s PDF printing guidance covers the print controls: Print PDFs in Acrobat Reader.
Print the webpage itself instead
Open the page in your browser and use its Print command or Save as PDF option. Review the generated preview because the browser may apply a print-specific layout rather than reproduce the screen pixel-for-pixel. If the site offers a printer-friendly or print-optimized view, try that first.

Use the browser’s scale and page-selection controls to tune the result. HP’s browser-printing guide documents these types of controls: Print from a web browser with an HP printer. Use browser printing when a compact, reflowed document is acceptable. If the page breaks, missing interface elements, or print styling make the output unsuitable and visual fidelity is important, return to the screenshot and tile the resulting single-page PDF.

Adjust scale, orientation, and seams
- The print is too small: Increase the poster tile scale, or try landscape paper if it better suits the image. Expect more sheets when the printed content is larger.
- The screenshot is too wide: Try landscape orientation and inspect the resulting tile count. The best orientation depends on both the image proportions and the printer’s paper settings.
- Adjacent sheets do not line up: Add a modest overlap and use cut marks if offered. Check the preview before printing the full set.
- A page break cuts through important content: A poster grid cannot always place seams at ideal content boundaries. Adjust scale or orientation and review the preview; if necessary, use image-editing or document-layout software to reposition the image before making the PDF.
- The entire screenshot is reduced onto one sheet: That is fit-to-page scaling, not tiling. Choose Poster for one oversized PDF page, or use a tool that explicitly exports a tall capture to multiple pages.

- Do not use Multiple when you mean to spread one tall page across sheets; use Poster.
- Do not assume a browser-generated PDF preserves the exact screen layout; inspect it before printing.
- Do not commit to a large print run without checking tile scale, page count, and seams in the preview.
