To raise the bull statue in Chapter 4, record the room’s symbol clues in Sophia’s journal, light the two visible linked pairs, scan the symbols on both raised hands, then route beams to the newly revealed wall slots. Activate the column, defeat the ambush, and interact with the column again to raise the bridge. The puzzle guide calls it the Minotaur statue; the Chapter 4 walkthrough also identifies the area as the bull mirror room.
How to complete the trial and raise the bull statue
This puzzle appears near the end of the first Trial in Chapter 4, “From Hell It Rose.” It is separate from the Trial’s earlier three-pedestal puzzle. The Trial introduces the light sphere as a way to reveal symbols and direct beams through mirrors and reflectors.

- Register the room’s visible clues. Walk the full perimeter until Sophia’s journal records both linked symbol pairs. If the journal page is incomplete, keep circling the room before adjusting mirrors.
- Light the first visible pair. Aim the light at both the bell/semicircle symbol and its linked fork/T-shaped symbol. When the pair is correctly lit, one hand of the statue rises. Aim for the disc above each symbol; a beam merely touching the wall may not activate it.
- Light the second visible pair. Illuminate the triangle marked with two inner lines and its linked downward-fingers symbol. The two visible pairs can be completed in either order. The second correct pair raises the other hand.
- Scan the first raised hand’s ring. Stand on the nearby eye-marked floor plate and use Sophia’s revealing light on the ring. Wait for the new mark to register in the journal before changing the mirror setup.
- Scan the other raised hand’s ring. Repeat from the eye-marked plate by the second hand, and wait for its symbol to appear in the journal as well.
- Illuminate the newly revealed wall slots. Send one beam directly to the first hidden slot. Route the other final beam through the central mirror to the hidden slot beside the triangle. Keep the first slot illuminated while setting up the second; the central mirror is needed for the slot beside the triangle, but both final beams should not be routed through the middle.
- Activate the column, then return after the fight. Use the newly revealed column to raise the statue. This triggers an ambush. Defeat the soldiers, then interact with the column a second time to raise the bridge and continue.
The directions above use fixed landmarks—the entrance, triangle, and central mirror—rather than left or right, because those descriptions can change with the player’s orientation. The sequence is documented in the Minotaur statue puzzle walkthrough; the chapter context is also covered by the Chapter 4 walkthrough.
How do I raise the bull statue?
Light both visible symbol pairs to raise its hands, scan each hand’s ring with Sophia’s revealing light from an eye-marked plate, then illuminate both hidden wall slots using the journal clues. Once the column becomes usable, activate it. The bridge does not rise immediately: defeat the ambush and use the column again.

If the statue does not respond
- A hand has not risen: Check that the journal contains both visible linked pairs. Aim at the disc above each symbol, and make sure both symbols in a pair are lit.
- The hidden slots are not appearing: Scan both raised-hand rings from the eye-marked plates and wait for both marks to register in Sophia’s journal before rerouting beams.
- The final beam will not reach the slot beside the triangle: Route that beam through the central mirror. Keep the other hidden slot illuminated rather than sending both final beams through the middle.
- The statue is raised but the bridge is still down: The column requires a second interaction after the soldier ambush is defeated.
- The prompt or controls differ: Follow the on-screen interaction prompt. The walkthrough does not establish one universal control mapping for mouse and keyboard, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Do not confuse this with the earlier three-pedestal puzzle
Earlier in the same Trial, the chapter walkthrough gives the three-pedestal answer as Y-C-↑ from left to right. That opens a different stage; it is not the Minotaur statue’s hidden-beam sequence. A puzzle-solutions guide lists this puzzle among the game’s solutions and states that it was last verified on August 27, 2026, the game’s launch day. This is the guide’s verification date, not an official developer confirmation.
