To sign in to Apple TV through T-Mobile, add or select the Apple TV benefit on your eligible T-Mobile account, start activation, then link it to an Apple Account. You can complete the process in the Apple TV app on iPhone or iPad, or on Apple’s activation webpage using Android or a browser; a separate Apple TV streaming box is not required.
Before you start
- Sign in with the T-Mobile ID for the account. T-Mobile’s instructions say the Primary Account Holder or an Authorized User can manage the benefit.
- Check whether Apple TV is already listed on the account. T-Mobile says an Apple TV feature must not already be active to add the offer.
- Confirm the offer and price shown for your plan. T-Mobile advertises Apple TV for $3 per month on qualifying plans and a six-month trial on select plans; eligibility and terms depend on the plan and account. The order summary in your account is the relevant cost check before you submit.
- If your phone number was recently transferred to T-Mobile, wait until the port is complete before trying activation.

Add Apple TV to your T-Mobile account
You can manage the benefit in the T-Life app or on T-Mobile.com. The exact labels can vary by platform and may change, so use the account’s Apple TV or add-on controls if the wording differs.
In the T-Life app
- Open T-Life and sign in with your T-Mobile ID.
- Go to the account or plan-management area, then open the section for services, data, or add-ons.
- Select Apple TV. Review the promotion, monthly cost, and any taxes or other terms shown in the order summary.
- Agree to the terms and submit the order. If prompted, choose whether the benefit should begin now or in the next bill cycle.
On T-Mobile.com
- Sign in to your T-Mobile account.
- Open the relevant line’s details and choose the option to manage add-ons.
- Select Apple TV, review the displayed offer and cost, then agree and submit.
T-Mobile’s support page describes these account-management steps; if Apple TV is not offered in your account, check plan eligibility with T-Mobile rather than assuming every plan includes it.

Start activation and link your Apple Account
- After adding the feature, open Apple TV in your T-Mobile account and select Start Activation, or use the redemption link T-Mobile sends by text or email.
- On an iPhone or iPad, open the Apple TV app and choose Activate Apple TV.
- On Android or in a browser, open the Apple TV activation page, choose Activate Apple TV, and then choose Sign In.
- Sign in with the Apple Account you want associated with the subscription. If you already use Apple TV, use that account to retain its settings and history; otherwise, create an Apple Account.
- Enter or verify your T-Mobile mobile number when prompted, then wait for confirmation that the subscription is linked.
T-Mobile says the activation indicator in its account can take up to 24 hours to update, even after you have started activation. Its offer FAQ also says you do not need an Apple TV connected device: you can watch in the Apple TV app or at tv.apple.com.
Watch after activation
Open the Apple TV app on a supported device or visit tv.apple.com, then sign in with the Apple Account you linked during activation. Apple confirms that Apple TV is available through its app on supported devices and on the web in its Subscribe to Apple TV instructions.

Fix common activation problems
Apple TV is not offered in the account
Check the benefit displayed in T-Life or on T-Mobile.com. Offers are plan- and account-dependent. T-Mobile can confirm eligibility and help with adding the feature or billing questions.

Check which line is set to receive account messages, then contact T-Mobile to request another redemption message. T-Mobile handles missing redemption messages.

The link opens, but the subscription is not confirmed
Restart the activation flow and enter or verify the T-Mobile mobile number when asked. An Authorized User may need the Primary Account Holder’s one-time PIN to finish account verification.
The wrong Apple Account appears
Sign out or return to the sign-in step and use the Apple Account you intend to link. Existing Apple TV subscribers should choose the account whose history and settings they want to keep.

The status in T-Mobile has not refreshed
The green activation indicator can take up to 24 hours to appear. If the Apple TV subscription itself still does not work after completing activation, T-Mobile directs app, service, and Apple Account recovery issues to Apple TV support; contact T-Mobile for account billing or feature-management issues.
Account and subscription details to know
T-Mobile’s offer FAQ says one Apple TV subscription may be active per account and that Apple Family Sharing can extend it to up to five family members in addition to the account holder, for six people total. If you remove the Apple TV feature, T-Mobile stops being the payment method; check the subscription details before changing your wireless service, since the timing of cancellation and access can depend on what is removed or canceled.
