Google Calendar can display three time zones side by side on its computer interface: your primary zone, a secondary zone and an optional tertiary zone. Turn on the extra columns in Settings to compare local times while scheduling; they are a visual aid and do not change the calendar’s primary time zone.
What Google Calendar’s three time zones show
The feature adds secondary and tertiary time-zone columns to the left side of the calendar grid. Together with the primary zone, they let you compare three locations’ local times when planning across regions. Google describes the additional columns as a way to help schedule events across time zones in its Calendar collaboration tips.

The columns do not create three separate calendars or change an event’s underlying schedule. Calendar displays events in your local time zone, while invitees see them in their own local time zones. You can also create an event in a different time zone; for events that begin and end in different zones, Google documents separate start and end time-zone settings.

How to enable the secondary and tertiary columns
Use Google Calendar on a computer to configure the additional grid columns:

- Open Google Calendar and select Settings.
- Under General, select Time zone.
- Check Show additional time zones.
- Choose a Secondary time zone.
- Choose a Tertiary time zone if you want a third displayed zone.
The selected zones appear along the left side of the calendar grid. Google’s instructions say that, in addition to the primary time zone, you can add both a secondary and a tertiary one. See Use Google Calendar in different time zones — Computer for the full settings guidance.
What happens on phones
Google’s desktop instructions describe the secondary and tertiary grid columns. Its Android instructions instead cover using the device’s time zone or manually choosing the calendar time zone; they do not document the same three-column grid interface in the Android app. The documented Android controls are explained in Use Google Calendar in different time zones — Android.

Keep daylight-saving changes in mind
Google says Calendar uses UTC for daylight-saving-time changes, but past or future events may not always reflect those changes correctly. Displayed times adjust as dates move within a few years. For plans far in the future, verify the relevant local time rules rather than treating today’s displayed offset as permanent. Google explains this behavior in its time-zone help.
