You can share your medication log from Apple Health in two ways: export it as a PDF copy, or share selected Health data with a person through the app. Choose the PDF when someone needs a file to view or pass along; choose Health sharing when you want to manage that person’s access in Health.
Choose how you want to share the medication log
| Option | What the recipient gets | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Export PDF | A shareable copy of your medication list. Apple describes this as an exported copy, not a live document that updates automatically. Apple Support: Add and log medications | Sending a file by a messaging or mail app available on your iPhone. |
| Share through Health | Access to selected Health data topics through Health, with controls to review, change, or stop sharing. Apple Support: Share your data in Health | Giving a selected person access you can manage in the app. |
Export a PDF copy of your medication list
- Open the Health app on your iPhone.
- Open Medications.
- Scroll down and tap Export PDF.
- Tap the Share button, then choose an available option, such as a messaging or mail app.
The PDF is a copy of the list at the time you export it. If your list changes later, export and share a new copy so the recipient has the updated information. Apple’s instructions describe PDF export and sharing in its medication guide.

- In Health, tap Sharing.
- Select the person, then open View Shared Data.
- Make the changes you want and tap Done.
End access
Use Stop Sharing in Health to end a person’s access. Removing them from Contacts alone does not stop information sharing. For a provider, Apple’s instructions refer to the Remove Account control. Apple Support: Share your data in Health
Use the medication log as health information, not medical advice
Apple cautions that “The Medications feature is not a substitute for professional medical judgment.” Sharing a list does not validate whether a medication or dose is appropriate. Consult a healthcare provider before making health decisions. Apple Support: Track your medications in Health on iPhone
Quick Recap
Best Value
- Spring Assisted Open Design. We use the latest design on this weekly pill organizer to achieve one-handed operation with the little rubber strips for the smart "lid spring open" feature. The lids are all beautifully colored and marked clearly with the date, everything is clear at a glance so you may find it easy to choose the pills you need. It's quite nice for easy daily dispensing and big enough to hold 8 fish oils or 12 large vitamins for each dose (size of each compartment: 1.3"x1.18"x0.82")
- Say Goodbye to Dumpage Pills. No worries about unwanted dumpage of pills found by pets and kids for your slightest unintentional or incidental touch on the medicine organizer. The push button stays closed once locked and securely snap shut keeping pills safe. It's small and perfectly suitable for travel and is ideal for storing small jewelry or items such as earrings, beads, nail art tips, ect.
- Premium Screen Printing. To avoid screen-printing fonts and icons falling off from the surface of the pill box, we use high-end screen printing ink and strictly do the Ink Adhesion Test with 3M Tapes before shipment. Thus, no need to be frustrated with the missing fonts of "Tuesday" or icons of "PM", and worry about mistakenly taking the wrong tablets.
- BPA-Free Material. This pill case is pretty safe because of being made of food grade materials. You would be worry-free with the BPA-free pill boxes and organizer when storing multiple pill regimes inside. With the transparent plastic lid, it's quite easy to distinguish the pills in each dose without opening the lids.
