In Samsung Wallet, sharing a car key, cancelling one person’s access and deleting your own key are three separate actions. To delete your own registered key, open it, tap More options (three dots), then Delete, and confirm with your fingerprint. To cut off someone you shared with, open the key details, select that person, tap Cancel Key, and authenticate. Menu labels can differ by car maker, vehicle, phone, software version and region.
How do I share a digital key from Samsung Wallet?
Samsung says only the car owner can share a key. The steps below follow Samsung Canada’s FAQ. Samsung UK describes a related flow and notes that the exact sharing process varies by manufacturer, so follow the screens your vehicle and software actually show.

- Open Samsung Wallet and select the registered Digital Key to open Key Details.
- Select Sharing. If prompted, allow the app to use your phone’s address book.
- Select Sharing again and choose a saved contact.
- Enter the recipient’s name, the permissions you want to grant, and the sharing period.
- Select Send Key and authenticate with your fingerprint.
- Send the invitation. The recipient accepts it on their side.
You can review who has been given access from Key Details.
How do I terminate Digital Key sharing for one person?
This revokes a recipient’s shared key. It does not remove your own key.

- Open the key’s details screen in Samsung Wallet.
- Select the recipient whose access you want to end.
- Choose Cancel Key.
- Authenticate with your fingerprint.
Samsung says you can confirm the termination on the details screen. Recipients accept invitations but cannot cancel or manage the owner’s key.
How do I remove a digital car key from Samsung Wallet?
- Select the registered key to open its details.
- Tap More options (three dots), then Delete.
- Complete fingerprint recognition.
Samsung Canada and Samsung UK both document this flow with biometric confirmation. Deleting removes the registered key from Wallet. It is a different control from Cancel Key. Samsung also says that deleting phone data deletes registered keys.

What if my phone is lost or stolen?
You can’t open Wallet on a phone you no longer have. Samsung’s Toyota Digital Key announcement says a key on a lost or stolen device can be remotely locked or deleted through Samsung Find. Check that Samsung Find is available for your account, device and region before you need it.

Samsung says an existing digital key doesn’t need a network connection to lock or unlock the car. Adding a key does need data connectivity.

Why might the options not match mine?
Support varies by region, phone model, operating system and vehicle brand. Samsung’s Canada support page lists supported brands and example vehicles, including the 2026 Toyota RAV4 and 2026 Lexus ES. Samsung Developer documentation says car-key integration is limited to partners that have consulted with Samsung and signed a contract, so support depends on the carmaker. A listing for one market doesn’t mean your exact car, trim year, phone and software are covered. Check Samsung’s current list for your country and your carmaker’s own instructions.
