Share a deliberately limited summary: choose the Chess.com measure, time control and date range you want people to understand, remove account or game details that are not needed, then set LinkedIn’s audience before posting. Chess.com documents ways to share individual games, but its help pages do not document a LinkedIn-ready export card for the overall Stats dashboard.
What Chess.com stats show—and why context matters
The Chess.com Stats page can show your current rating, rating change over a selected period, number of games and percentile for a time control or game type. The default period is the past 90 days; use the calendar control to select a different period. Stats count a game only when it is rated and includes at least four moves (eight plies). The page also has detailed sections for highest rating, best win, longest winning streak, friends rank and average opponent rating. Chess.com’s Stats guide describes these measures.

A rating without its time control and date range can be misleading. A selected-period rating is not necessarily an all-time rating, so label the statistic with the period shown in your Stats view and the time control or game type it represents.

Chess.com says Diamond members have access to Advanced Stats on openings, tactics, strategy, endgames and Brilliant Moves. Its category ratings compare a player with others in the same rating range and time control. Access and features may change, so check what is currently available in your account before including these figures.

Choose what to share
Chess.com documents sharing an individual completed game by copying its URL or downloading a PGN, GIF or image; embed code is also available. Its instructions differ for web and mobile. These are game-sharing options, not a documented export of the overall Stats dashboard as a LinkedIn-ready card. If you want to share overall performance, treat a screenshot or graphic as something you prepare yourself, and check the current Chess.com interface. Chess.com’s game-sharing instructions cover the available game formats.

Chess.com profiles may display a member-entered name, location, country, over-the-board rating and About Me details. A screenshot does not automatically conceal these or other identifiers; check the image itself. Chess.com’s profile-settings guide describes profile information.

Prepare a low-disclosure post
- Pick one or two measures. Share only the statistic that supports your point—for example, a rating trend or a milestone—instead of the entire account page.
- Add the time control and date range. Use the period visible in Stats. The default is 90 days, but the calendar control can select another range; do not label a selected-period figure as all-time.
- Crop or redact unnecessary details. Remove account names and game or opponent details that are not needed. Open the saved image and inspect it at full size before uploading; do not assume the sharing or screenshot process has hidden anything.
- Write a plain-language caption. State what the measure represents, its time control and period. This gives readers enough context to interpret a rating or trend without exposing a whole dashboard.
Set LinkedIn’s audience before publishing
LinkedIn documents three post-audience choices: Anyone, Connections only and Group. Pick the audience while composing the post and check it before selecting Post. LinkedIn says you cannot change a post’s audience after it has been shared. LinkedIn’s post-visibility guide explains the audience options.

Post audience and public-profile visibility are separate settings. LinkedIn lets members control which eligible profile sections are public, but changing those controls does not make an Anyone post private. If you want to reduce public discoverability
Review LinkedIn’s public-profile controls as well as the audience on the post. LinkedIn says changes to public-profile visibility can take several weeks or months to appear in search tools; it does not control how quickly those tools refresh. Do not rely on a profile change to remove search results immediately. LinkedIn’s public-profile guide describes this delay.
