Set ScreenshotMachine’s dimension request parameter to WIDTHxHEIGHT, such as 1366x768. For command-line use, send it as an API parameter with curl; the official materials reviewed document API requests and examples, but do not establish a separate ScreenshotMachine CLI or a dedicated viewport flag.
Set the requested width and height with dimension
ScreenshotMachine’s API uses dimension for the requested screenshot width and height. For example, dimension=1366x768 requests a 1366-by-768 capture. The documented reference also gives 320x240, 800x600, 1024x768, and 1920x1080 as examples. See the official Website Screenshot API reference for parameter details.

The reference sets width limits at 100–1920 pixels and height limits at 100–9999 pixels. Its documented default is 120x90. A request outside the documented bounds may not produce the intended capture.

Send the parameter from a shell with curl
The official materials show a Bash/curl API example rather than a standalone CLI command. Use your API key and target URL, and pass dimension as a request parameter. Replace the example values before running:

URL-encoding the values avoids shell and URL parsing issues, particularly when the target address contains query parameters. Keep the API key private: do not put a real key in a public repository, webpage, or example.
Capture a full page or emulate a device-sized viewport
Full-page height
Use full as the height value to request a full-length capture at a specified width, for example dimension=1024xfull. This is different from a fixed-height viewport: the resulting screenshot extends down the page. Long pages may need more time for images or animations to load, so consider increasing delay.

Device mode and dimensions are separate
The API documents desktop, phone, and tablet as device options, separately from dimension. Its examples pair desktop with 1024x768, phone with 480x800, and tablet with 800x1280. Do not assume that selecting a device automatically sets one fixed viewport; specify the desired dimensions explicitly when they matter.

delay controls the wait before capture. The reference lists values from 0 through 10000 milliseconds in specified increments, with a documented default of 200 ms. For long pages containing images or animations, it recommends considering a longer delay, such as 2000 ms or more. zoom changes page zoom instead of setting width and height: its documented default is 100%, with values from 10 to 400, and the reference says zoom is ignored for screenshots smaller than a typical device dimension. Neither setting replaces dimension.

Troubleshoot incorrect or missing viewport sizing
- The image has unexpected dimensions: Check that the request includes
dimension=WIDTHxHEIGHTand that width and height fall within the documented limits. - The whole page is not captured: Use
dimension=WIDTHxfull; a numeric height requests a fixed-height capture. - The page is cut off or images are absent: For a long or animated page, increase
delaywithin the documented range and retry. - A device selection did not give the desired size: Set
dimensionexplicitly as well as thedevicemode; they are separate parameters. - The request fails or targets the wrong page: Confirm the API key and URL are included, and URL-encode the target address. Do not invent a CLI flag such as
--viewport; the documented configuration is an API request parameter.
